When the Q&C building was being built as the headquarters for the Queen & Crescent railroad, it was the tallest building in the New Orleans skyline. Now, the building remains as a national landmark standing tall in a vibrant neighborhood.

After a $10 million renovation, the hotel opened its doors to greet travelers with a brand new lobby and lobby bar. Sleek and modern design are meshed with classic gold framed artwork. Rooms have elegant wallpaper and skyline rooms feature views of the city.

The hotel is split into two buildings: the main building (where you check-in) has the bar, the second building is more family-friendly since the rooms are a bit bigger and there's no noise from the bar. Even with all the dining options in New Orleans, the hotel's restaurant is worth a visit. The pizza in particular, is a favorite.

A car isn't needed since the hotel is a 15-minute walk to Bourbon street and the French Quarter but to get to Audubon Zoo, a 20-minute drive is quickest. Public transportation can be found on Canal Street, just a five-minute stroll. Be sure to check out the shops lining Canal Street. The riverfront isn't far from there and on warm days it makes a great respite from the bustling city.

Enjoyed Most: The staff is really what makes this place great. They give you a ton of advice about where to go and what to eat, they definitely saved us money as a result. Everyone is extremely helpful and they even open the door for you when enter and leave the hotel. Southern hospitality at it's best. The location is also perfect, we walked every where and I hate walking so this is a huge deal. All the tourist things are very close and we took the trolley down to the garden district, took about 25-30 mins. The food/drinks at the bar are great too. Talk to the bartenders they have a lot of good info about places to check out.
Other Comments: I stayed in the Skyline King room, it was comfortably spacious for two people and had complimentary tiny bottles of alcohol and water. The bathroom was nice and big, the shower has good pressure. The bathroom door may be odd to some, it slides but doesn't have a lock. It was no big deal to us. The pillows were too soft for us but the bed is comfortable. The clean staff did a good job as well. Next time, I'm staying here again.

Enjoyed Most: The staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Other Comments: It was beyond our expectations. Loved our room and we happened to be there during their grand opening celebration which was an added bonus. Fun night with free cocktails, munchies, and entertainment!

Enjoyed Most: Stayed there a few years ago and it was really nice then. But the rennovations they've done are really really nice. Love the lobby bar with meal service in lobby. The morning I came down to ck out, it had the most amazing Breakfast smell!!! YUMMY! I look forward to my next stay at the Q&C!!
Other Comments: Only 2 suggestions - NOT complaints. 1) A hook of some kind in the bathroom to hang towel, etc as needed and 2) The bathroom mirror is really nice, but is too high and too far away for applying makeup or dealing with contact lenses. A side movable or adjustable mirror would be extremely helpful. LOVE THIS HOTEL!!

Enjoyed Most: The hotel was cute and clean and the location was good.
Other Comments: Overbooked the Skyline room I reserved with confirmation so I had to stay in a second floor room for the first night then move buildings the next day to a skyline room. Was not offered a room rate adjustment until I asked since I wasnt going to pay for a more expensive room if I wasnt staying in it. Valet took 35 mins (no exaggeration) to bring our car almost making us miss a meeting. They ended up comping valet. Room rate was not adjusted for the 1 night at checkout as had been discussed with the manager. However, it was an easy fix that the checkout attendant was able to do. I have yet to check my credit card statements to make sure the appropriate charges were made and adjusted. Overall… the hotel was cute and clean but the service left something to be desired. Would I stay there again? Not for a while and only if reviews are consistently positive in the future. The price was good but definitely not worth the trouble.
