Why We Love It

  • Great for families -- kids 17 and under stay for free when sharing space with their parents; plus, all rooms have a kitchenette or full kitchen
  • Hosts both a classic pub which is is very child-friendly during the day and a well-reviewed steak house
  • It has a half-indoor, half-outdoor pool and multiple hot tubs
  • Offers guests free Wi-Fi, equipment storage and shuttle to ski lifts (which are also very walkable)

This hotel is an optimal home base from which to kick off all-season adventures. Its Whistler Village location sets guests at the core of “the city’s favorite place to play” (Frommer’s).

In the warmer seasons, hitch a lift up the mountain and, once you’re atop the age-old peaks of Whistler or Blackcomb, pick your pleasure: Hikers can trek through old-growth forests surrounding alpine lakes, bikers can chase thrills as they fly downhill and scenery-seekers can treat themselves to the 360-degree visual bath that is the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. This 2.7-mile lift holds three different Guinness World Records for its titanic size.

When snow starts to crown the mountains in white, discover for yourself why Whistler Blackcomb “consistently ranks as the top ski resort in North America” (Fodor’s). Slash down the packed powder of more than 200 trails on skis or snowboard. Try your hand at True North pastimes like snowmobiling, snowshoeing or dog-sledding. For a high-speed memory-maker, climb into a four-person bobsled or grip onto a skeleton sled in the only place in Canada where the general public can shoot down a skeleton track.

No matter the time of year, Whistler Village hums with activity. Stroll through the pedestrian town during the day to peruse local art galleries and artisan shops. When your stomach starts rumbling, wander into any of the dozens of eateries within a five-minute walk from the hotel.

Don’t stress if you return to your room scruffy from the day’s adventures; suites have their own washer/dryer sets and all guests can use the guest-only laundry room. Store your skis or bikes for the night for free and, to round off your day, relax your muscles in the hotel’s sauna or grab a nightcap at the on-site Brickworks Public House.

The staff was excellent.

The staff are what makes this hotel worth staying at. Delta really missed the mark with the renovation. The rooms are ok but not great. The tubs are extremely old and shallow and should have been replaced. The shower head is a hand held and should have been replaced with a fixed head. The appliances are old and every time we opened the fridge it almost fell on us. The kitchen was not equipped with dish clothes or towels so we had to use towels from the bathroom to do dishes. Our fireplace also didn’t work. If it wasn’t for the staff and location we would not return.

Location is pretty good. Our friends had rooms with king beds, couches and fireplace which were nice. We all booked same deal on travelzoo but we didn't get it and reason we all went up there was our for our anniversary!
Other Comments
We thought we booked a room with a king bed and a couch. Got a queen and no couch. Room super small. The heater/AC was super loud! We had no hot water our first morning they said there was a problem but no attempt for compensation or even a sorry.

Location in Whistler Village, proximity to shops and eateries, the suites are roomy and well laid out, love having the complete kitchen, washer/dryer, the fireplace is nice to have on a rainy, snowy day/night, the bed was comfortable.
