Why We Love This Hotel

  • This Cape Cod resort sits on a private stretch of west-facing beach — that means spectacular sunsets over the water
  • You'll also find indoor and outdoor saline pools, complete with a poolside bar and firepits — great for stargazing on clear nights
  • Guests can nosh on New England classics at Red's Restaurant & Lounge (chowder, anyone?)
  • Stay with confidence — read more about the hotel's enhanced safety and cleaning procedures

Nestled on a private stretch of pristine white sand along Buzzards Bay, the romantic Sea Crest Beach Hotel puts guests within arms' reach of top destinations on the Upper Cape: For instance, Old Silver Beach — one of the most popular spots in Falmouth — is just next door; for day trips, it's just a short drive to Falmouth's historic downtown and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard.

The hotel itself first opened in the 1930s and boasts an impressive roster of past guests (Henry Fonda, Margaret Sullivan, and James Stewart are just a few of the celebs who've stayed here). Nowadays, though, you'll find modern amenities like pillowtop mattresses, flat-screen TVs, USB ports for devices and Keurig coffee makers in guest rooms. For the best views of Bay, we suggest upgrading to one of the Ocean View rooms.

On site, you'll find an indoor and outdoor saline pool, complete with Jacuzzis and a poolside bar; there's also a seasonal ice cream parlor. The resort's flagship restaurant, Red's, specializes in New England classics and fresh-caught seafood — it's popular with locals, too, so call ahead to nab a table at dinner time.

The location of the property COULD be a beautiful setting and experience. It’s is run down and in dire need of updating. The beds are uncomfortable, rugs dirty and no housekeeping service except to bring fresh towels. Reds restaurant was not open except for a take out window. So sick of the cop out because of covid. The norm now is to charge high nightly rates with high fees snd taxes. Disappointing!

The location and the hotel was great. The beach as nice and the staff was attentive. The resort was crowded with children for part of the stay, but most of the time was very manageable.

The location is to die for - of course. It's amazing - the beach, the sunsets. The challenge is the food options are totally junk AND the fact that the store on site isn't open is ridiculous. There is no where to grab drinks or snacks except for the overly priced and poorly staffed snack bar. Aside from the front desk, the cleaning crew and most of the beach/outdoor bar staff (there was one woman running around yelling at kids and being generally obnoxious), everyone else seemed unqualified or unhappy. I know there is a staffing crunch overall right now but it was disappointing.

Beautiful location with several convenient amenities available. We appreciated the several different types of seating options both on the beach and on the pool areas. The hotel seemed to be doing their best to get up and running again for the summer season, following a very difficult 16 months of the covid 19 pandemic - which affected all areas of this type of business.

It was a cloudy wet weekend but the pool was open as was the weight room and restaurant so we had a great time

It's on a great west facing beach meaning the sunsets are the best in the area!
