About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- Times Square's lights don't get much brighter: The main crossroads is a block away
- There's a massive food hall that's just off the lobby, which itself can get a bit busy
- The hotel also boasts clubby spin studio Cyc Fitness and styling bar Glam & Go
- A renovation a few years ago freshened up the place, but rooms are tight and see a lot of traffic
Half a block from Times Square's main crossroads, the Row NYC hotel is extremely well located for a big-city visit, which explains why it gets a huge number of guests. The surrounding streets are filled with Broadway theaters, convivial restaurants and some of the flashiest outposts of popular clothing brands. The lively neighborhood carries through into the hotel -- this is a place that stays busy most of the time.
One of our deal experts recently stayed and noted that the rooms can be a bit noisy given the bustling location. A renovation pared rooms down to minimalism, with neutral furnishings, but the rooms can get pretty tight, and go through a lot of guests. While there may be some wear and tear, it's a great hub for heading out sightseeing.
Moody hallways have murals of hip New York neighborhoods, from the East Village to SoHo, and getting to each of these neighborhoods is easy, as nearly every major subway line stops within a block or two of the hotel. Just off the lobby is probably your best chance of finding quality food so close to Times Square -- a food hall with treats from some of the city's best-known casual kitchens.
