Very attractive hotel. Comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Nice bath amenities. Coffee maker did not work on first morning. The front desk brought up a new one and showed us how to use it. Also gave us complimentary coffee from Pete's.

The concierge is excellent. Very knowledgeable about New Orleans. We had only one day there and asked about Royal Street antique shops. Royal St. is very near the hotel. She recommended Rau which is truly not to be missed. She was able to get us reservations at Commander's Palace on the same day! She had warned that they rarely had last minute reservations but sometimes had a cancellation list. But they had a table for two at 7:00 available! We felt very lucky. I highly recommend this concierge.

Even though we managed to show up just before Hurricane Francine and had to spend an entire day in the hotel, it was a wonderful experience. The staff was absolutely amazing and the customer service was just the best we have had in years! The food at Pete's was delicious and Chef Arthus is a gem! Highly recommend and truly hope to go back (plus we weren't able to do all that we had planned due to the hurricane).

Highly recommend this hotel. Check in was excellent as staff took time to find rooms close to our other family members that traveled with us. Also had great experience with staff in both restaurants on the property. Did notice some signs of wear on the furnishings in our room. Everything else was excellent. Hotel is two blocks away from French Quarter and Canal Street. Cable car runs down this street to Garden District and World War II Museum.

The staff were amiable and helpful. The hotel lobby was beautiful, and we got a great room with a rare view of a green space out of a window because we were at the end of the hallway and had an extra window. Everything was within walking distance.

Housekeeping was really hit or miss. Some days the room was pretty clean, but several days, pillows were just piled on the bed, cleaning rags were left here and there, kleenex and bath mats weren't restocked. One day, towels weren't replenished. Little bits of trash were on the floor, and several surfaces had layers of dust. We tip the housekeeping, but I felt it was money wasted. We did let the front desk know when we checked out. The balcony had cigarette buts in the cracks, and hadn't been washed or cleaned in years. There was no refrigerator (just a digital minibar) and no microwave. In New Orleans, we had so many leftovers (we took a cooking class and came home with tons of food) and we had to keep it in the sink in an ice bath. There was not a microwave on the premises. Although I'd stay there again, I was truly disappointed in the cleanliness and care of housekeeping.

The hotel is showing some wear since my last visit in 2019. The hallways seem Damp and musty but I saw the attendants spray freshener in the hallway to help with odor. The fist room I was given was filled with mosquitoes. They quickly gave me an upper floor room and it was much better. Great location. Busy hotel. I would consider staying again.

The hotel was lovely. The check-in went well and we really liked our room. However, it could have been cleaned better. There were some long black hairs on the carpet and one of the towels had hair on it. Other than that everything was great. Liked the hotel bar and the happy hour.

They do not have microwaves in the room nor refrigerators which was a problem for some in our party. I think the refrigerator stocked with things to purchase is a thing of hte past and would prefer to have a small refrigerator to us. Our experience was great as always! The staff are always extremely friendly & accommodating. The only concern was that the hot water in the shower & sink needed to be hotter, there were no extra blankets in the room & the hand held shower device never works. Also too many college fraternity students were running up & down the halls, slamming doors, talking/laughing out loud & cursing from 1am-4am. They were playing tricks in the hotel were some guest had to leave there rooms.
The added extra touch with the body wash & hand wash were very nice.

A little bit run down in our bathroom and room for a Condé Nast 2023 top 50 hotel. Not what I would think of for this type of rating. The last night we were there we had to leave our room as an alarm went off, the staff seemed unsure of how to respond. While we and two other floors were asked to evacuate the building and never told why, within 10 minutes of this we were told we could come back into the building. The bar and restaurant were still completely full of people and they were never evacuated. Seemed strange.

When we checked into our room, we found that we were given to queen beds, when the reservation specifically said classic king. The front desk employee said that the reservation said classic room, but I was able to show them a copy of the reservation from Travelzoo. They apologized for the miscommunication between Travelzoo and the hotel. They said they couldn’t move us because they had no king beds left but they could move us the next day. We really didn’t want to unpack and repack so we just asked for two free drinks and the manager Justin gave us two free drinks and complementary breakfast. So we appreciated their efforts. Our waitress at breakfast, Isella, was a delight!

Hotel was very nice and clean and so much to do every where. Balcony room wasn’t as pictured, was a balcony on a rooftop; no privacy and accessible by many others. Chose to pay extra for a balcony because we had bikes. However, the room was large enough we left them in the foyer. It ended up being fine, just not as pictured; c’est la vie.

Intercontinental was great but somehow the dates I entered on the computer to Travelzoo for my reservations got switched to a 4/20 arrival instead of a 4/18 arrival. I’ve stayed at this hotel before. I like the rooms and enjoy the surroundings.
I had an issue with the amount of money the hotel was holding on my debit card. I only put enough money in my checking account based on what I am going to spend for that day(I have trust issues! Lol). The rest is put into my savings. So when I went to the hotel and gave them my debit card to charge me for the room plus the amount they were going to hold for incidentals, the charge was denied. I called my debit card company, and they advised me that the hotel was charging more than they claimed. So there was a back-and-forth between the customer service representative and the hotel staff at the desk. The desk advised that they were not charging more but it turns out the customer service representative was correct. So be careful not only with this hotel, but with any hotel advising you that they’re charging you one thing and it ends up to be more money on your credit or debit card . That issue was resolved, and the desk was very kind to me because it was also my birthday, but I would stay at this hotel again.

The Intercontinental was in a good location for us- close to the French Quarter and Market but far enough away to not be too noisy.
The rooms were quite small and in need of renovation. The desk top lamp and charger stand were not working properly.
The beds we extremely comfortable. The view from our room was spectacular.
There seemed to be a shortage of towels as we only received 2 bath towels, 2 wash cloths and one hand towel for 2 people.
We would have enjoyed if water had been available in the room.

Overall impression was it had some features I liked and others that I didn't . I was not really impressed with the restaurants. Our room was very dark and very little light (other than the desk area) to read. It was tucked in a corner with another rooms' balcony in front of it and we had very little sunlight into the room to help the low light. The staff was excellent

They did not have our Travelzoo reservation but the front desk remedied that issue and gave us a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience. It was August in New Orleans and the pool was closed which was very annoying after a day of sightseeing we just wanted to relax by the pool. Our return flights home were delayed til late afternoon and the hotel graciously let us have a late checkout. The hotel is lovely, clean and perfectly located in NOLA.

Service was exceptional and amazingly friendly from start to finish, I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to New Orleans, which I will definitely do because it’s hands-down one of the best cities in the nation.

Truly enjoyed our stay here. The only thing that was not absolutely fantastic was their pillows (for some reason we had like 6 pillows on the bed and all of them were awful). Great location that puts you super close to everything without having to be IN anything, which is nice when is the end of a long day and you’re ready to get away from it all.

Big complaint was that the older valet man lied & said the hotel’s garage was several blocks away. He lied in order for us to agree for him to valet park our car. Not a worthy employee trying to trick customers.

The hotel is beautiful and very close to the French Quarter. Close enough to feel like you're in the Quarter without having to hear the Quarter. And the homeless aren't right out front (like they are on Canal St), which makes it a much safer location to be in as well. The parking was easy to navigate and use; no need to use the valet. Rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. Fitness are was large and easy to use.

It is a wonderful hotel. The location was great between Superdome and French Quarter. Not a lot comes with the room. No mini frig or free morning coffee in the lobby. Pete's breakfast buffet is awesome but very pricey.

I would recommend at least stopping in and take a peek if you are ever in New Orleans as a possible place to stay the next time.

We had a really great express with our interactions with all staff. They were really polite, helpful, and attentive to our needs.
I have only two issues. (1) Having a refrigerator in the room in which the customer can not actually use was awful. We're not drinkers so having a refrigerator stocked with alcohol was useless, and if removed, the customer would be charged. Our waters were warm each day, and we couldn't bring leftovers back from restaraunts. In addition, our room wasn't even stocked with snacks, the boxes were empty. I knew snacks were in the boxes because others in our group had a well stocked snack bar. It would also be great if your hotel added microwaves to each room. For a hotel of this caliber this should be expected.
(2) The pool appeared to have a dirty ring around it. Making it not inviting to me. I'd visited to pool twice, and there was never anyone in the pool, just people seated around the pool, and without bathing suits on.

Overall, great hotel, friendly staff, great food at the adjacent restaurant, okay food at the hotels restaurant. Pool needs to be renovated. Actual customer use of the refrigerator needs to happen, and microwaves added to every room.
