Why We Love This Hotel
- Art Deco hotel favored by Elizabeth Taylor & Clark Gable
- Quiet location, just off the Champs Elysées
- There’s a leafy courtyard for alfresco dining (April-October)
- The elegant bar has 200+ varieties of whiskey
Located in a quiet but swanky area just off the Champs Elysees, it's only a 10-minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe and a block to the upscale boutiques on Avenue George V. Equally handy is the Metro station (George V) just at the end of the street, providing easy access to sights like the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral.
The chic Le Cadre d'Or Restaurant serves a full American buffet breakfast from 7am and a traditional French dining menu later on in the day. Meals can also be taken in the leafy courtyard, which has a lovely mosaic fountain (from April-October). There’s also an elegant bar dressed in red velvet and polished wood, with a list of more than 200 different whiskeys and a wide selection of French wine.
The bedrooms have been recently renovated and either overlook the street or the central courtyard. Standard rooms can be on the smaller side, but all feel airy and come with free low-speed Wi-Fi. Upgrade to a Deluxe Premium Room for a private terrace, or a two-story Duplex Suite to revel in antique furniture and views from the seventh floor.
