The check in and valet staff were wonderful.

The travelzoo “perks” were false. Upgrade room? The room faced a construction site and was quite dated. $35 value for two small glasses of beer? $50 value for breakfast when it was a standard kind of breakfast usually included already. The port royal hotel in Quebec City had an included breakfast as a Travelzoo perk and it was incredible! This was just a room and the perks didn’t really exist.

The hotel was okay. There was a cue to check in which was long and early check-in and upgrade was not available which was really disappointing. Our bathroom door did not close at all in room 2007 and the tub was plugged up and would not drain. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. However, the welcome drank and subsequent drinks were filled with ice and therefore was very watery. The valet parking was great and easy. The location was great and close to many restaurants, shopping and only a 20-minute walk to the old section of Montreal.p

I’ve stayed in Montreal many times, couldn’t get in my room till 4pm.
No free water in the room like other places.
Cut my arm on the Door handle , the no noise rule was a joke as Doors were continually banging in the early hrs .
Bed was not comfy.

We had a bit of an issue with parking as we had a pick-up truck. Apparently, they don't like to park vehicles that big. After some discussion the issue was resolved, and they ended up parking it for us. Our room was fantastic, we had a little kitchen that had an oven, fridge, microwave, coffee pots, toaster and all the dishes and pots you needed. We saved a lot of money by utilizing the kitchen! Our room was clean and well appointed, the beds were comfortable. The location was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful.
