The upscale K+K Hotel Central combines modern interior features with design inside an Art Nouveau building. It is a 3-minute walk from the Náměsti Republiky Metro, and a 9-minute walk from the Old Town Square.
The 11th-century Gothic Powder Tower (or Gate) is a few steps from the hotel. One of the city's original 13 gates, it serves as a division between the Old Town and the New Town, and was used to store gunpowder in the 17th century. Also nearby (a 2-minute walk from the hotel) is Municipal House, widely regarded as one of Prague's most beautiful Art Nouveau landmarks because of its stunning murals by Alphonse Mucha. Today, the building is a premier arts venue, as well as an elegant French restaurant (book in advance to avoid disappointment), a Czech beer-hall, a traditional café and the city's first American bar.
The rooms are stylish and contemporary, with marble bathrooms with heated floors. They include free Wi-Fi and a complimentary breakfast buffet, a flat-screen TV and a mini bar. The suites include living rooms, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Room service is available.
The breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant's indoor terrace restaurant, which features an unusual internal glass cube and a high ceiling with Art Nouveau décor. There's also a colourful bistro/bar with parquet floors. Other amenities include a fitness centre, a sauna, a business lounge and meeting facilities.
