The Century Old Town M Gallery is a boutique hotel in Prague's historic city centre, convenient for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Its grand, 19th-century neo-Baroque exterior and modern interiors create a warm, cosy ambience. Franz Kafka, author of The Trial and Metamorphosis, once resided here, as is celebrated throughout the hotel (Kafka's former office, Room 214, features his work).
The nearest Metro station (Náměsti Republiky) is a 3-minute walk, and the MAC Palladium – the city's largest shopping mall, with 170 shops and 30 restaurants -- is just a minute’s walk. The hotels is a 10-minute walk from the Old Town Square, a 14-minute walk from Wenceslas Square and the National Museum, an 18-minute walk from the 14th-century Charles Bridge and a 34-minute walk from Prague Castle.
The sophisticated, pet-friendly rooms feature high ceilings, traditional wood furnishings and courtyard views. Amenities include a flat-screen TV, a mini bar, tea- and coffee-making facilities, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour room service. Suites have additional living rooms, two flat-screen TVs, DVD players and Nespresso machines. A sumptuous complimentary breakfast in the hotel's Kafka-themed restaurant is included in the room price.
The hotel's stylish Felice Brasserie is named after Kafka's fiancée, and there are three meeting rooms named after his other literary muses. There is also a literary-themed bar that offers drinks, including a chocolate stick selection and Kafka's favourite cakes, in a relaxed library containing works of famous writers. There's also a courtyard terrace for outdoor dining.
