Residing in a landmark location between Montreal’s Commerce Center and Promenade du Vieux Port, Hotel St Paul is steeped in tradition, while also being forward-thinking in its design and amenities. Venture outside the hotel to explore Old Montreal, where you’ll find plenty of shops and dining establishments. Make a 20-minute drive from the hotel to the Montreal Botanical Gardens, where each greenhouse carries a theme, and the Japanese Zen garden will provide a relaxing environment. This attraction was named the No. 2 “Thing to do in Montreal” by U.S. News & World Report in 2014.

Before embarking on the day’s journey, visit The Lounge, where floor-to-ceiling windows showcase views of Old Montreal and notable sights like Place d’Youville. Breakfast is served here daily. After a day of gallivanting, stop by Hambar Restaurant for a casual meal where entrees like seared salmon and hanger steak can be paired with a tasty dessert. Cocktails are also served here, and brunch is a popular item on the weekends.

As the sun drops below the horizon, drift to sleep in a homey, yet modern guest room. Daily turndown service is provided nightly and hand-crafted chocolates are left for sampling. Silk, stone and metal as well as antiques share space with contemporary furniture. Complimentary Wi-Fi access allows guests to plan their day or stay in touch with business associates.

Make the most of a trip to Montreal with deals for area attractions and entertainment.

Enjoyed Most: Nice design, friendly staff, great location near restaurants Beautiful old building
Other Comments: Brighter reading lamps would be nice. I found it too dark to read in the living room (we had a suite). An up-to-date list of all local restaurants would also be appreciated.

Enjoyed Most: Location.
Other Comments: They upgraded our room, and they also let us come early and stay late. Friendly staff and excellent customer service.

Enjoyed Most: Great valet! Very informative and helpful
Other Comments: small room for suite, small bed, dirty floors. Breakfast was supposed to be included but due to renovations they only allowed breakfast until 10 am on Sunday morning. This was not mentioned until that morning.

Other Comments: too much stress on decor and not function

Enjoyed Most: The décor - very European; the customer service. We were welcomed at the door by the concierge and he was both friendly and knowledgeable.
Other Comments: The continental breakfast was delicious and all our wants ( such as a pot of tea) were met. The location was great as well.

Enjoyed Most: Wonderful client service. Chic and spacious room. Fantastic location.
Other Comments: The front door and reception area are a bit spartan and intimidating. While the room was very nice, the common areas are a bit dark and just weird. Eg blue lighting in hallways.

Allison Jan 12, 2015 Ottawa, ON, Canada
Enjoyed Most: Location, breakfast, courteous and helpful staff
Sharon Jan 11, 2015 Sherbrooke, QC, Canada
Enjoyed Most: Great breakfast, awesome shower, great location
Other Comments: Everything about the hotel was excellent: the service, the food, the room, the bathroom, the decor. Just wondering about the dark hallways and red lighting, and the worn carpets in our room. Two small things that could make a big difference.
