Rooms were cute and comfy. The location was fantastic. The water coffee and fruit on every floor was extremely useful. Room was small and lights were dim outside of the bathroom. Bathroom could use a little “tightening up” the toilet paper kept falling on the floor and the shower handles were loose.

Emeline Hotel is in the heart of downtown Charleston, making walking to restaurants, entertainment, or a stroll down to the water's edge simple and easy. It is beautifully kept, and the front desk workers are wonderful! The lobby gets a little loud in the evenings around its Fannie and Fox restaurant, which seemed to be quite the popular spot. But other than doors closing down the hall, the rooms were quiet and cozy. Would definitely recommend!

Very comfortable, well-appointed hotel at a great location from which to explore Charleston, walking distance to many superb restaurants, pubs, shopping and places of interest. We had the 2-room Traveler's suite so the bedroom door could be closed off from the sitting room (both rooms had TVs). The rooms were very quiet and isolated from road noise. All staff members we encountered were professional, pleasant and consistently helpful! The daily "Captain's Hour" with complementary beer and wine was an added bonus!
Other Comments
On the other hand, the Traveler's suite had a very nice size closet between the two rooms but there was no suspended bar from which one could hang clothing!?!? I found this to be very curious as it would take very little effort and expense to install one. The wall unit in the bedroom did have a small area for hanging gear, just enough for my wife. Also, the rooms/suites are not equipped with a coffee maker, which turns out to be a minor inconvenience as complementary coffee is provided in the lobby from 0600-0930 and a commercial quality coffee "pod" machine is located in the elevator lobby of the 2nd floor.....wouldve been nice to have this on every floor! What was nice on every floor in the elevator lobby was a cold, filtered water dispenser. This was great for refilling water bottles, coming and going, as it was extremely hot in Charleston during our stay.
