The only issue I had was a parking fee- which was $25 per day. I have never paid for parking at a Delaware beach hotel and I disputed this charge.

The hotel was a renovated Holiday Inn Express. The check in area was very beachy in white and blue. Staff were wonderful, friendly and had good suggestions for restaurants, etc.
Booked for 2 beds but had 1 king (didn't ask to be moved). Nice comfortable room. Table had cigarette burns on it. The TV service provider was "down" so was given a typed instruction how to get any channels. (did not work too well). Bathroom was clean and had amenities on the shower wall which worked out great! Small bar of soap and body lotion on counter. Included breakfast was perfect. Some hot food and basic cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, juice's, coffee. Coffee and teas always available and water and cookies in the afternoon. Short walk (10 minutes) to beach and the included umbrella and beach chairs a wonderful addition! The included adult beverage at check in were 2 cans of vodka orange crush. Pool was open and provided a nice distraction since the TV streaming service in the room was not working. Overall, a nice place to stay and convenient location to the Bethany Boardwalk and Ocean City.
Other Comments
The hotel rate was $149 per night and included breakfast, free mini golf, pool. The Travel Zoo rate was $199 per night and included Umbrella and beach chairs (Total cost $15 plus $16 = $31), mini golf ($16), adult beverage ($10). I did call Travel Zoo to see if they would match the hotel rate but was told the extras made up the cost. The extras were $41, rounded to $50 and i was hoping for a $50 refund.
Hotel said they could not refund anything.

It was a lovely experience. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. It was close to the beach and other area attractions. The little perks like breakfast daily, beach chairs and mini golf made it worth while.

Several things, among the most salient ones that there was an extra fee for room cleaning service, they ran out of milk on one of the days we were there for breakfast, breakfast staff seemed a little overwhelmed and not fully prepared.

Our room was not ready at the guaranteed Checkin time of 3:00. We didn’t get our key till 4:00. There were several frustrated parties in the same situation. There was no welcome cocktail and the afternoon sweet treat was only available 2 out of the 4 days that we stayed there. The 10% off the check at the restaurant was only available 1 out of 4 days because the restaurant was not open. No beach chairs available since we were pre season. What did the resort fee cover if all of these were unavailable? The television ( cable service) was completely unacceptable.

The staff was friendly and doing their best to get by in a hotel that appeared to be not quite ready to reopen. The breakfast was adequate. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

The hotel has been recently renovated with lovely, softly modern furnishing. All clean. Staff couldn't have been nicer. It is not beachfront but close enough.

One surprisung drawback is that the hotel charges a parking fee. In driving around Bethany Beach I kind of understand why. There is no "free" parking anywhere in town within blocks of the beach.
