Lovely resort on the sea with large rooms, plenty of games and hammocks in the outside areas plus two nice pools and restaurants. Staff were helpful and friendly and it was nice to get the welcome drink on arrival.

Our first hotel booking via Travel Zoo (“3rd party “) but so far no problem. The hotel reservationist is in a call center and not helpful to those researching the property. No doubt, this place has issues. Our pet-friendly room was quiet but looked out into a giant white wall (very claustrophobic). Floors in hallways and our room were carpeted by worn, ugly, dark brown carpet with red wine looking stains near the frig, and an overwhelming deodorizer upon arrival. We attempted to never walk barefoot on their floor—try that in Florida—because it was just gross. The in-room coffee maker came with no instructions but coffee mugs way too large to fit the machine. No one there, including 3 front desk staff, could produce actual coffee with their weird Nespresso models. Each day began with an inconvenient hassle in the lobby to get coffee. Lobby could stand to update colors, showcase tropical foliage, and lose the cheesy house music because it’s not a nightlife town. What’s odd and kind of scary is that a hotel key is NEVER needed to get inside any of their side doors—even at night, there was zero security. Atmosphere at the marina is super nice albeit run by a separate company. The complimentary bikes are a plus, gym has decent cardio machines, the courtyard is pretty, and the staff are all mostly great (look for Shamika & Yushane at front desk, avoid Mellissa). We travel a lot and hope this place is a work in progress… otherwise, be prepared for a very mixed bag.

Carpeting in hallways and rooms is nasty. Please provide a working coffee maker or don’t advertise that it’s available. When things like that break, don’t make guests trek downstairs daily to negotiate for a stinking cup of coffee - ridiculous customer service. Thank you for being pet-friendly. We took care to curb our dog away away from your beautiful recreation area, but there are no marked and safe areas for dog walking.

Nice place. Didn’t realise there was no beach on site. Two nice pools but little else to do besides corn hole. Just one restaurant on site—expensive but nice setting and delicious food and drink for lunch and dinner. Fridge and microwave in room. On site breakfast at small cafe was not good. Many stores and restaurants in the area and nice public beach with parking 4 miles away—Sombrero Beach by Publix. Hotel seemed like a great setting for boaters and really set up as a yacht club.

Perfectly nice spot just not quite what I’d expected. A little boring with no beach to walk. Excellent housekeeping staff who cleaned room every day. Nice workout room. Flavoured water in lobby was a classy touch.
