Eleven Didsbury Park is set in a Grade II-listed Victorian townhouse in the area of Didsbury, six miles south of Manchester city centre. The boutique hotel has 20 individually designed bedrooms and suites, including a split-level loft-style suite with a private balcony.
Manchester is a 30-minute drive away, or you can take the tram into the city. Wander along the waterfront of The Quays, where you’ll find The Lowry art gallery and the Imperial War Museum North, or spend some time in the buzzing Northern Quarter. Manchester Airport is a 15-minute drive away, while the Manchester Museum and Old Trafford football grounds are 20 minutes away by car.
The luxurious hotel has a Victorian walled garden where guests can enjoy afternoon tea – there’s also a gentleman’s afternoon tea served with a mini burger, homemade scotch egg and chicken pie. Original features can be found throughout the building, from the high ceilings and bay windows to the open fireplace in the stylish bar.
Bedrooms are more spacious than you’ll find in the city centre and all feature handmade double-pocket-sprung mattresses and luxury goose feather pillows. Classic Rooms have a walk-in monsoon shower and heated bathroom floor, and Eclectic Rooms have a freestanding roll top bath in the bedroom. The standout feature of the Roof Terrace Eclectic Room is its private canopied terrace with an outside bath tub, while the Veranda Suite has a private balcony leading out onto the gardens.
