A bit dissapointing that the room phones were all removed you need to use your cell phone to call the front desk. That info should be told to you when checking in so instead of looking all around the room and not finding one you are made aware.

The view from the patio was beautiful and we could not hear noise from the street. I loved the double mirror I front of the sink and the full length one on the bathroom door. The heater, however, was very loud. It was good to have a voucher for the Olsen bakery. We enjoyed or breakfast there. Thank you!

Our room was great! It was spacious, clean, and had extremely comfortable beds. We had a gigantic balcony overlooking the oak forest. It was so calming to walk out and listen to the birds sing.
The hotel was on the edge of town, but it was an easy walk into town. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all of our questions.
Not knowing what to expect, the Vinland Hotel was a delightful surprise and added to a memorable trip.

My one gripe is that they only have ceiling mounted, fixed, downward facing "rain shower" shower heads. In stalled in the center, you cannot turn on the water without getting wet, and the spray is so soft, washing long hair is difficult. Also, shaving legs is impossible with out turning the water off and sitting on the floor of the shower. Give me a wall mount with a hand held attachment any day!!

I will remember this stay, but not in a good way. The first night was a nightmare.
Initially we thought someone was vacuuming the hall, but it turned out to be the heater. It was so loud you couldn’t hear the TV. And though it was loud it did not push out any hot air. The room got down to 60 degrees and stayed there. The carpet became flooded. Not from the sliding door but from the left side of the glass wall. Squishy wet.
We were cold and tired. The next morning I told you about the problems and yes you changed our room. That was the least thy could do and yes they did the Least.
The saying “You don’t get a second chance to make a First impression “, applies here. You could have turned this around. Since we paid for 2 nights they could have comped us for an extra night to make up for the horrible fist night but they made no effort. So I will tell the story of the horrible stay at this hotel on my Birthday get away.

Hotel and staff were very nice, but we didn't like the noisy people that stayed above us. We had 1 quiet night out of 4 total nights there. Not sure what could be done about that since we need a ground floor room. Can't expect hotel to not book room above us. We brought our sound machine, but you could still hear thumping above, like a herd of elephants. That's the only complaint we had. All else, great.

The hotel room is large, clean and has a nice balcony. Very conveniently located and one can walk to everything in Solvang. Rooms have nice soaps, shampoo, etc. also has fridge and coffee maker. Beds are comfortable.

The AC didn’t work in the first room. We switched rooms very late at night and the second room AC came on every 20 minutes and was so loud - sounded like a truck coming through. We literally barely slept. The second night same story. Requested a late checkout but they could only give us an extra 30 minutes. Also asked if we could use the pool after our 11:30 checkout. Front desk said no. They never apologised for the noise problem nor offered any compensation. That was surprising. Front desk said this is a problem in several rooms. Well why don’t you exchange the AC’s then? Other reviewers also mentioned this problem. I would stay again if I was promised a room with a properly working AC.

The staff goes above and beyond too please and accommodate the guests. The fresh brewed coffee as well as the cold brew was available all day in the lobby. They offered complimentary bottled water throughout our visit. It's a very short walk to all that Solvang has to offer, close to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed cocktails and snacks in the V lounge. Bartender Rick does a great job with his guests. Our balcony off the back of the hotel overlooked a lovely Grove of mature trees. Very peaceful setting. Can't wait to go back.

Great hotel for a little getaway to Solvang. Extremely close to the town, few minutes via foot. Room was comfortable, had a nice sized outside patio which we enjoyed having happy hour outside overlooking the meadow. Water pressure in the shower was amazing and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were extremely nice and friendly! Highly recommend!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Thank you! My one bit of feedback that wasn’t enough of an issue for me to say anything. My guess is you outsource laundering linens and towels with a service that also washes cloth diapers. The towels and sheets all had a faint smell of diapers. They were obviously clean and fresh washed, which was why I didn’t complain. If it was the laundry service all the towels and bedding were going to smell the same so I just dealt with it. But I would hate for the hotel to get a bad review over something like that so I bring it up so you can reach out to your laundry service. I had such a lovely stay. The beds were comfortable, pillows were great. All in all, you folks are doing a fine job.

Great location. Room size generous. Our room would have been more comfortable if chairs had been provided to sit in rather than the bed. Pool area was nice. Staff were polite, but not exactly outgoing. Overall a good stay, and with a few tweaks could be something special in my opinion.

When we walked in to the bright and clean lobby we felt comfortable right away. The woman that checked us in was very pleasant and easy to understand. The room was large and clean and the lounge was also very comfortable and clean and the bartender (Rick I think) was very nice and interesting to talk to.

Great Hotel. We were facing the back and was very quiet. Room had microwave, Refrigerator, and coffee maker; They even delivered a teapot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is walking distance to everything in Solvang. Great location. I cannot comment on rooms facing the front. But room in back on second floor had balconies. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom /shower remodel was excellent. Great value for money.

Everything was lovely except for the dog in the room next door that barked through the night. Finally at 2 a.m. I found ear plugs to put in my ears. I love animals, but would have appreciated a well behaved one through the night. Otger than that, we enjoyed our stay and would go back.
