We wanted an "old inn" feel, but some of the overall decor, paint, etc. felt "tired." Our room was tiny, so some "common space" that was quiet and looked out on the woods and creek would have been nice. The Great Hall is great, but too much "business" is happening all around it for it to feel like quiet space for guests.

Unfortunately I had to cancel our booking on the morning of our check in, due to a sudden illness my wife experienced. When I contacted the Inn the person I spoke to was not at all receptive to the unfortunate way I had to cancel. I asked if I could transfer this booking to another date and was told that I would be charged for the original booking as I had not given 72 hours notice which is stated in the terms but my argument is how does someone know 72 hours in advance that they are going to have an illness. So no my experience was not a good one. Archie Neely.

The staff were remarkably accommodating, and pleasant, especially Jason (a waiter), and Theadora (not sure about the spelling - receptionist).

Although the inn is overlooked by high rise apartments with balconies, which makes it less private, the inn itself and its grounds are lovely, and overlook a beautiful wooded area with a pretty creek running through it. The stone walls are beautiful, and well-maintained. Guest rooms are rather small, and there are some awkward angles in some, given the slope of the roofs, but staff are anxious to please, and accommodated our taste. Some furniture elsewhere in the inn could use updating, however, as some chair coverings, etc., were noticeably shabby.

Beautiful Inn with lots of "curb appeal". Room was very inviting. Dinner was excellent and the service was second to none. Breakfast was excellent as well and we found it more than we could eat. I would highly recommend the Glenerin Inn for a spa getaway, a romantic getaway, or just a getaway.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the spa. Next time.
