Choose from these plays:

"Pass Over" through June 23
The New York Times called it "searing," "daring," "blazingly theatrical" and "thrillingly tense” and included the drama in its Best Theater of 2018 list. The play follows two young black men who dream about a promised land they’ve yet to find. Whiting Foundation 2018 Award winner Antoinette Nwandu wrote the play.

"The Year of Magical Thinking" on July 19 - Aug. 11
In the adaptation of her award-winning, best-selling memoir, Joan Didion turns the story of the unexpected loss of her husband and daughter into a powerful one-woman play. The New York Times called the novel “an indelible portrait of loss and grief" and "a haunting portrait of a four-decade-long marriage"; it won the 2005 National Book Award for Nonfiction and was a finalist for both the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Biography/Autobiography.

"People of the Book" on Sept. 6-29
This world premiere play by Yussef El Guindi ("Threesome," "Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World") follows an Iraq war veteran who returns home with an Iraqi wife and a best-selling novel about his heroic wartime experience. But his friends question the accuracy behind the book and its patriotism.

"Dracula" on Oct. 18 - Nov. 17
Playwright Steven Dietz adapts Bram Stoker’s 1897 gothic novel to create a haunting interpretation of the story for a contemporary audience. Dietz says, "This version is subtitled 'Mina’s Quest,' and it seeks to deliver all the luscious fear of the original, while making Mina -- Dracula’s targeted bride -- the central detective in charge."
