"The Nutcracker" is a two-act ballet based on the original story by E.T.A. Hoffman, with the iconic music composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. In this production, a young Caroline befriends the Nutcracker, who leads the toy soldiers in the battle with the mice. She is then transported to The Land of Snow, a magical wonderland with dancing snowflakes.
The production is brought to life by the Cleveland Ballet’s own artistic director, Gladisa Guadalupe, who helped create a uniquely Cleveland version of the ballet.
