Starring Drew Gehling (Broadway’s "Waitress") as high school teacher (and presidential lookalike) Dave Kovac, hired by the Secret Service as a stand-in for the Commander-in-Chief, but his duties change dramatically after the president falls ill. Dave must contend with a national scandal and find a way to gain the trust and love of the American people and the First Lady. Tina Landau ("Spongebob Squarepants") directs, with a score by Tom Kitt ("If/Then," "Next to Normal") and lyrics by Nell Benjamin ("Mean Girls," "Legally Blonde").
