The offer included dinner and breakfast. Both were absolutely delicious! For breakfast we had 3 choices. For dinner we were able to choose from most of the regular menu ( which I don’t think is the regular practice) Having said this… I would go here simply for the food!
The room was comfortable & clean.
Nick the general manager was friendly and accommodating.

2 points to consider that may not necessarily be an issue for you….
~ You're in the house alone. You have a key to the front door and your room. There didn’t appear to be any staff.
~ Upon entry, you are in a hallway and there is no welcome, no sign telling you where to go- so you’re standing there not knowing what to do.
*Personal pet peeve: { When paying above an average rate, I just get annoyed by little things … no water glasses, empty tissue box, water-down hand soap squirting out at you, lightbulb burnt out….BUT having said this….
I’m sure all of these could have been remedied by speaking to staff. }

When our matinee in Stratford was delayed in starting by an hour, the dining room was helpful in delaying our dinner reservation. And then when another couple wanted to join us for dinner, they again accommodated the extra 2 people for dinner. We really appreciated this.

Since it seems to be pretty standard for hotels to have a hair dryer in the room, we assumed the Rogers Cottage would be no exception, but it did not have one. Otherwise the room was well equipped, but a hair dryer would be a nice, inexpensive addition.

Temperature in room was too hot, 23 degrees Celsius when we arrived. Took a while to cool down for sleep.
