Voucher cancellation & refund policy: Within 14 days of purchase, Travelzoo will give you a full refund if you change your mind or can't find dates that suit you. Once you book your dates, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel's cancellation or rescheduling policy and may result in a fee or voucher forfeiture. You must cancel your reservation directly with the hotel prior to refunding your voucher. Vouchers can be refunded online by going to "My Account.” After 14 days your voucher becomes nonrefundable. Hotel cancellation & rescheduling policy: Once you’ve booked your dates, you can still change your travel dates directly with the hotel. This deal is non-refundable within 14 days of the reservation. Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance are refundable less a $25 administration fee per person. If you cancel or change your booking in violation of the hotel's cancellation policy, you may be subject to additional fees or voucher forfeiture.
Occupancy rules: Price based on up to two guests per room. Additional adults and children can stay upon prior request (contact the hotel directly for more details). Children ages 3 and under stay free. Maximum occupancy is two in a cottage or four in a chalet.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The meal plan was exceptional, a great variety. Our cottage was lovely, very clean and comfortable.

The resort was lovely. Room was fine. Amenities fine, however there was no staff around the waterfront and none after dinner. So we had to make our own fire in the firepit. It appeared as if they were short staffed. So the guests were left on their own .
Food was poor. Breakfast was OK. Although on the resort website they indicated both a la carte and buffet was available, really only buffet was offered. I had to make a special request to get some fried eggs, which they did.
Dinner was included in the package, which was good, since there was no where to go in the area. However the quality was poor. The food was not at all tasty and portions were small. If they improved the quality of the food, I would have considered going back.

We had a great weekend with all the amenities we needed. It is a lovely setting on a lake with no powerboats. Great for canoeing etc. dinning is excellent in a fantastic lodge. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Cabins are well equipped and roomy. Large swimming pool and. Everything you need. I would definitely return.

Trillium Resort and Spa is a gem! They are located on a small and quiet lake with no motor boats and as such, the lake is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, or stand up paddle boarding. The cottages are clean and well maintained. The staff are wonderful and we had very good hot buffet breakfasts and dinners. My only critique would be soft beds and a hot water tank that isn't big enough to take a bath. Otherwise, we loved our visit to the Trillium.

The only complaint is that the trail is not well maintained and you have to guess which way to go.
Both peddle boats are broken...people kept getting stuck in middle of lake and had to swim out.

The deal for Trillium resort and spa from Travelzoo provided reasonable value. After paying for beverages and tipping for our dinner we spent $400 total for a stay in one of the cottage rooms.
The meal at dinner was mediocre - we had steak and trout. We didn’t appreciate the waitstaff constantly cleaning and clearing tables, including ours during dinner. It made us feel very rushed and a nuisance as we had last dinner seating.
There were lots of amenities and we used most of them: canoes and paddle boats, pool, hot tub and tennis court. We appreciated having access to all of these activities.
The one major thing we didn’t like were that the cottages were too rustic for our liking. It’s definitely not like a hotel resort quality room. The carpet in the room made it feel and smell very musty and dirty.

There are many outdoor activities such as horseshoes, connect four, tennis, ladder golf. Many indoor activities are available too such as cards, a wide assortment of board games and DVDs.

The chalet was nice and cozy, with a view of the lake. The kitchenette had all the necessities. The food at the resort was excellent. Compared to other Muskoka resorts we've stayed in, this location and the lake are relatively quiet and secluded, without too much boating and human activity, so you really get that serene, out-in-nature experience. Some excellent bird watching.

cons grounds looked worn, pool ie cold, no umbrellas at pool and hot tub not hot, beach sand beauiful but only three chairs and two umbrellas, lovely lawn and more chairs on the upper level but full of earwigs, rooms no air conditioning , very poorly lit and no closet, quality of food was very poor, at least 4 other couples felt the same, very disappointed and without Travelzoo price this place would be empty, so sad as so much potential

The resort was in a beautiful setting and I enjoyed the waterfalls.
First night dinner food was good except my wine glass was chipped
First morning food was mostly dried out and cold, fruit was tasty
Second day breakfast was much fresher and was lovely
Second day dinner food was very dry and tasteless soup was very watery except for the veggies tasty. I think quality of breakfast was based on the time you went at, it was not consistent .

Reality check in was 3pm and check out was 11am …. We really only had one full day, seemed pricey , even with the food included.

Lovely experience. Stayed in cottage room which was spacious for 2 people, had a nice fireplace that we used. Foods were delicious, left satisfied and feeling full. Enjoyed the ambience and the rustic charm of the place. Used the hot tub and sauna. Quiet atmosphere as it wasn't the busy season yet, which was nice.

We had a Lakeview Chalet with a natural gas fireplace. The seating was comfortable, as was the bed. Our plan included breakfast and dinner. The variety of foods to choose from for breakfast was outstanding, along with several juices. We asked for decaf coffee and they brewed a pot, so they are very accommodating. The chef here is amazing, so dinners are a delight. The first night, I had a bacon-potato soup, salmon Wellington, and a butterscotch sundae. The second night, I had an artisan flatbread, slow roasted beef pappardelle, and New York style cheesecake. If I lived nearby, I would dine here quite often.

The chalet has a kitchenette, which met our needs. There is a small fridge and two countertop burners for cooking, but no oven. There is also a microwave. There is a TV, but no cable or satellite system in the chalet (there is a large TV with satellite in the lodge). There is a DVD player and DVDs are available in the lodge. However, the wifi is so strong, you can stream off your computer if you bring an HDMI cable. It is a smart TV, so you may be able to project from your phone, too. There are two queen size beds, but only a small table and two stools in the kitchenette area for eating. The seating area is really comfortable with a full couch and a large armchair with an ottoman. The bathroom is quite large for a chalet and includes a full-size bath. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here.

The resort is on a beautiful almost private lake (no motors). Due to the season and weeknight stay, we had the place to ourselves for the first day which was amazing! There is a lot to do if you are so inclined- canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding. We took full advantage of it all! The meals were delicious and the service was excellent! The fact that the meals and resort fee were included made this a great deal! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it! The only negative which is NOT the fault of anyone, is that the bugs were bad in the woods especially. Just the time of year. Bring bug spray.
