Voucher cancellation & refund policy: Within 14 days of purchase, Travelzoo will give you a full refund if you change your mind or can't find dates that suit you. It was changed to the Shaw club hotel sister hotel. The location was better close to main st Niagara on the lake. Food and service at the Zee restaurant was excellent. We always enjoy our experience here

Staff were really nice, location was good, supper was good.
The only complaint we had was that the room was very small and a bit dark. The room temperature was controlled by the front desk and it was a good while before it warmed up. I thought that was strange to have to call the desk to adjust the temperature. Otherwise the hotel , grounds and staff were lovely....

The only problem was that you had no control over the heat in your room. The staff had to come in to adjust it and they wouldn’t set it below 68C. We like it cool at night so we had an uncomfortable sleep.

I had a great time staying at the Charles Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and is in a prime location. We sat out on the second floor balcony that overlooked the golf course and it was beautiful.
The restaurant was delicious and had two choices for appetizers, three choices for mains, and three choices for dessert.
I highly recommend this package for anyone looking to visit the area!

Our room was frigid. Could not get heat all night. The dining room looked lovely but our meal was average at best and that was a stretch. Ended up having to move us for our second night to a sister hotel. They were very helpful that way but our first night there was not a pleasant experience.

Food was great and the service was superior at the Hob Nob Restaurant. It's a very nice quiet facility to have a leisurely meal and food was delicious.

Our stay was canceled by the Inn. Apparently there wasn't enough rooms booked to warrent bringing in staff. Our reservation was changed to The Harbour House where we had stayed before and were quite satisfied with our stay at that time.
I was surprised to learn that the Charles Inn didn't have an elevator which would have found to be a difficult situation. Had we known at the time of booking, we would not have made the reservation in the first place. The fact our reservation was changed to The Harbour House was fortunate for us.
The no elevator situation should have been highlighted more when we made our original booking at The Charles Inn.
I would make sure to tell anyone about stairs only before I gave a recommendation about staying there.

The service and staff at The Charles was very good. The restaurant service was excellent but the food was disappointing especially the tomahawk porkchop.
Our room was disappointing; it was very, very small, no coffee maker, the television was incredibility small with limited volumn, and the bed was very uncomfortable. Space was passable for one night but certainly not for a weekend or longer stay. The stairs going up to room were very steep and almost could be described as treacherous. I did see an older lady almost trip coming downstairs. I don't think we would stay there again; NOTL has so many different options to choose from .

Our room was very large with a sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table and a Queen sized four-poster bed. The washroom was modern with a heated floor. Our dinner at HobNob restaurant was delicious. All staff members were friendly and efficient. We would highly recommend the Charles Inn…great value for the money.

The food in the HobNob restaurant was very good.
As well, the location of the facility is convenient.

The Daisy room was extremely small and cold. We were not given a remote to adjust the temperature but had to go and ask the front desk to come and raise the temperature in the room.
It also took for ever to get hot water in the bathroom sink. The shower was ok.
Impossible to figure out the thermostat for the bathroom floor heater and no help or guidance was provided.

Our overall experience was great! Staff were very helpful and tried to Make it special. The hotel was stunning and had so much charm and very clean. The grounds were well kept and we had a nice view of the golf course.
The food was delicious and our server Matthew and maître’d were very attentive and knowledgeable. The tables in the dinning rooms were very warm and inviting with white linen, candles and a single red rose.
However the room was extremely small. We couldn’t place our luggage anywhere except on the floor. The bathroom had a double shower which was very nice however there wasn’t anywhere to place toiletries or toothbrushes.
So we placed a clean towel on the top of the closed toilet seat and used that. during our stay We weren’t made aware that there was complimentary coffee until after we asked. When we went to the coffee station there weren’t any cups. we asked at the front desk but never ended up getting them. We got tired of waiting and left.
