We’ve always wanted to stay one night @ Prince of Wales but never got a good deal like this. The delux room was gorgeous with a Victorian vibe.
We reserved a dinner spot at the Irish pub just a few blocks away and had live jazz entertainment that night.
When we came back they had cleaned the room and left a Rose on my pillow. What an awesome gesture.
They also gave a wine with this deal and the breakfast was amazing too. We requested for a window seat and got that too. Our king room was located in the next block but had an awesome view of queens street. That night it snowed and the view was just simply amazing.
Took lots of pictures of the hotel and the staff was very nice too!

We We’re disappointed that we didn’t get the fireplace in the room as advertised when we checked in. However once we settled into the room we made the inquiry and they would’ve moved us.

Could have had an elevator in the adjoining building. Too many stairs to negotiate.We are seniors and found it difficult to get to the second floor. The front desk did ask us if we needed assistance but we declined.

A fridge in the room would be a great addition. Eggs Benedict missed the mark, the fried rye bread was way too greasy.

We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at the PoW. The package included a local bottle of wine but because of our anniversary they also left a beautiful cheese and fruit board in our room. The breakfast was exceptional. The robes in room were great for after shower or going to and from spa. The bed was comfortable and although we brought our own pillows, we found that they had a selection of pillows to order from. The linens and the towels were of high quality. There is an umbrella in the room which was well used on the one very rainy day. The rose left on my pillow in the evening was a nice touch. Staff always very pleasant and helpful.

The room was lovely, lots of little extras in the room. Location of our room was not great. We could heard the exhaust vents from the kitchens all night. But this hotel is great. Have stayed there a few times & this is the 1st time this has happened. So will just remember to ask for a different location.

This hotel is right in the middle of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Great for a Mini Break to just relax, go for a gentle stroll round the town, or walk down to the lake. The late breakfast is very much appreciated. We will be back again this year & hopefully many more time.

Breakfast was enjoyable and delicious! Room was big enough but precious stay liked the decor and colour scheme better! Nice bath products and love that rooms have towel warmers! Easy to find a parking spot and very convenient! Not a far drive to Niagara Falls!

Everything was wonderful until breakfast this morning, my girlfriend ordered the 2 eggs with Canadian bacon and received peameal bacon, she preferred the regular bacon instead. Rather than removing her plate and replacing the peameal with bacon, the waiter notified us that there would be an additional cost to a breakfast that was all inclusive in our package. It’s not about the money, but rather the principle of the whole situation! Instead of making the customer happy, he chose to inform us of additional costs! A hotel of that stature should NOT dwell on petty situations as these.

As usual, the staff was excellent and paid great attention to detail. Our package included breakfast and it was delicious. Again, the restaurant staff was most helpful and efficient.

For the first time, we were given a room in a cottage off property. The room itself was smaller than in the hotel and needed a chair of some sort, but fine. The front entrance to the cottage would have benefitted from some cleaning. The cottage was also next to laundry facilities that were audible most of the evening and in the morning before checkout. I would not recommend this room to others if there is another choice available.

We used the value of the vouchers for a package we purchased over two years ago (pre-pandemic). The hotel was wonderful about honoring the vouchers and the hotel itself is a memorable place to stay. Staying at Prince of Whales in NOTL was a regal experience. The person at the front desk was friendly & knowledgeable, the room was beautiful very royal, the food was fresh, high quality & delicious, our server Jason was a delight. The ambiance was beyond words.

The booking in process was not easy because the Travel Zoo information was not populated into the hotel's reservation site. I had to show "proof" of the Travel zoo voucher. Also, when we arrived at our room, the complimentary bottle of wine was not there waiting for us. We had to call down to the front desk and then again down to room service. To have the bottle of wine was a nice gesture, but to chase it down is not the experience that made me feel valued as a client. We called the hotel reservations line and that is who confirmed that the Travel Zoo details were not on the system.The property is definitely well travelled, worn down couches and carpet. There is a difference between "vintage" and not maintained. It just did not suit us at all. When I booked the reservation I was asked if we were celebrating anything on our visit and we were celebrating my birthday. Not sure why I was asked when it was not acknowledged, not even at check in. Overall, we have had better experiences at other properties in the same area. Disappointing.
