Friendly and helpful staff. We lucked out and saw a dolphin and at least four grey whales... AND we saw three breeches. Even the crew were impressed by mother nature's show on our tour!

Three whales breeched at once making it a very rare and wonderful experience. Staff extremely knowledgeable

One of our group was mobility impaired. We let the staff know this ahead of time. Would have been extremely helpful if they’d advised us to park by the dock rather than limp from the office down two flights of stairs and out to the dock. Other than that it was the very best experience

Calling to book our adventure was easy and I very much enjoyed the staff member I spoke with. He answered all of my questions and had us ready to go. The Captains and Naturalists were full of information and very friendly. The Whales were on! There were about 11 in one area that were active and giving a show. The whole time fish were jumping out of the water. We saw a porpoise and seal. It was our best whale watching trip ever. Tips for future riders, know that there is no long term parking right by the office; find parking an hour before your sail time (Library is good). It gets cold on the boat; be prepared! Remember your camera and binoculars. Enjoy the gifts from the sea and a knowledgeable staff to answer your questions.

It's way over priced for 2-3 whales we see for total of 10sec.

We saw lots of wildlife including whales. We saw a bald eagle, turkey vultures, seals, sea lions, and a sea otter. There were many naturalists to ask questions.

Booking was a bit difficult using the travelzoo voucher, we had to call to book, could not book online. In addition about 5 days prior to our tour they called to change it to another date (not enough people booked for our date), but as we'd booked several months in advance and were travelling from another province to visit family and friends, it was difficult for us to move our schedule around to accommodate this last minute change (didn't help that they called on a long weekend, in the middle of our wedding festivities).
The tour itself was good - the staff was knowledgeable about finding whales and keeping distance from them to avoid stress to the marine life. We saw 4 humpback whales (2 x individuals; 1 x cow/calf pair). We also saw some seals, a colony of sea lions at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve, and a river otter feeding. Many different sea birds as well. They provided great commentary on the various animals we saw as well.
Overall the tour was worthwhile, but the booking process was not easy.
We were out for a full 3 hours, which was great, as we did have to go back to shore due to one group arriving late.
Good COVID protocols, everyone had a temperature check and had to show proof of vaccination. Boat wasn't overloaded with people.
