Besides the biggest party of the year at the Calgary Stampede, there are lots of activities to dig into year round in Alberta, including dinosaurs. Travel to the badlands to see Drumheller’s dinosaur bones, the Royal Tyrell Museum and Dinosaur Provincial Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Arts, culture and science congregate in the province’s largest city at the TELUS Spark Science Centre and the newly-opened Studio Bell National Music Centre, plus a myriad of local concerts and festivals to enjoy in Calgary. Outside the cities, there are big prairie skies and hundreds of outdoor experiences to revel in, all with awe-inspiring views of the Rocky Mountains. Ski at Banff and skate on Lake Louise in the winter, or in the summer, hiking, horseback riding and whitewater rafting are in abundance anywhere you go in this prairie province.
