About the Destination

I picked up this deal almost two years ago during Covid and finally took advantage of it just before it expired. This is a nice resort; rooms were nice, staff was nice. It was a bit "too family friendly" for my taste but that would certainly be a positive consideration if you were traveling with children I suppose! The buffet was better than expected and varied each day, but it was outdoors and, consequently, it was hot inside and there were lots of flies on the uncovered food items; the dining area was adjacent and had fans and better ventilation however. The special meal (included with Travelzoo) that we had at one of the non-buffet restaurants was just okay...but I would not have been happy had I had to pay the actual cost of the meal considering what was served. I'm also glad I opted for the "all inclusive premium" though in the end, I have no idea if it would be worth the additional cost; I suppose that will depend on how much booze you drink. :) Having the minibar in the room included in the cost certainly was convenient though.

This was my first visit to the Maldives. It was a bucket list item and I'm glad I did it. Travelzoo provided great value for what I received. Still, I'm not sure I would go back - it's a 24 hour travel day (at least) just to get there and at the end of the day, it's a beach vacation - you won't really be exposed to much in the way of culture since each resort is basically it's only little ecosphere.

Resort was nice. Lovely little island. Felt I got my monies worth. Our host was great and accommodating. Was a little confusion with the activities, as there was the normal one and then they also had a seasonal festivities one.

Great little island, you just can't beat the Maldives. Just wished it wasn't such a long flight.

Great experience. The resort requested PIN numbers from the vouchers. We had to search and contact your service for this. I recommend this should be sent to the resort through your services upon purchasing the vouchers so that upon arrival, we are not scrabbling trying to find information.

We had an amazing stay. It was beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived at the airport and met by Furaveri staff, we were assisted every step of the transfer until we arrived in our room. They made sure we were never on our own. Everything went smoothly and we felt very much taken care of and treated very special.

We stayed in water villa; snorkeling right downstairs in the back was wonderful. Food and drinks are all superb and staff are very friendly. They work very hard to make your stay not only very memorable but very convenient and enjoyable as well. My husband and I didn’t find any single thing to complain about. We were sad when we left today. The place is a piece of heaven on earth.

Everyone that works at Furaveri is very kind and helpful. The Spa treatments were amazing!! We stayed in an over water villa and spent the majority our time enjoying the pool and ocean in our “backyard”. Highly recommend!!

We have a tremendous time at the resort. Lovely place. Excellent service at the restaurant! Fabulous spa service. We did have some hiccups with our bookings. Emails sent to reservations, and you have to wait for at least 4/5 days before we hear from them. They never answered to all of our enquires, therefore we had to email them to address our enquires. There are quite a bit of frustration. That being said, the resort is great, the host is great, services are great.

Please ensure reservation addresses people all enquires. Not answer one question at a time. (lets say I have 4 questions in one email, but they only answered one of my enquires). There are so many back and forth.

It was fantastic. Location, staff, overwater bungalow was excellent. Just the food was bland but I still give it 5 stars as I loved it regardless.

The food can be improved. While it was always fresh, it lacked taste. Seemed like it was prepared by staff and not a chef. The Asian restaurant chef food was excellent. You need to hire a chef of that caliber as the only tasty food was at the pasta station. Breakfast, salads and desserts were excellent. Fish, meats, stews etc were not very good. Everything else, accommodation staff especially Ren was excellent.

Always felt like we could find a private beach and snorkeling without a crowd. Staff were amazing. Ubey, Maafi, Amen. Beautiful outdoor yoga. Plentybof gluten free food options. The Asian fusion restaurant is stunning and the food was excellent. There was a lot of waiting for the sea plane/check in. Seems like those could have been combined. We learned of most of the activities and evening events after the fact. Perhaps you need to hang out at the pool to hear about them? But overall really memorable experience and highly recommend it.

It was great! Just far from the US, but that can't b held against them! Room was fabulous! Hospitality was fabulous! Just do not forget to factor in $400 pp for sea plane transfers.
