"A gorgeous cosy little hideaway in Cornwall. Lovely for a little break away from the hustle and bustle, walking distance to a beautiful beach and stunning costal path to Lands End."
The Saddle and Stablerooms are self-catering studios and apartments at the First & Last Inn, on the Penwith Heritage Coast, in Cornwall.
Sennen Cove and Sennen beach are both around five minutes' drive or around 30 minutes' walk away along the South West Coast Path. Enys Dodnan Arch -- a rock formation similar to Durdle Door -- is five minutes' drive from the property.
Land's End, the most westerly point of the United Kingdom, is around five minutes' drive away as well. The pretty village of Porthcurno, home to "arguably the county's most beautiful bay" (The Daily Telegraph), with its pristine white-sand beaches and rugged cliffs, is around 10 minutes' drive away.
The First & Last Inn is a country pub located next door to the accommodation and is well-known as a headquarters for smugglers in the 1600s. It low, beamed-ceilings, log fires and serves food.
The stableroom studios have 6-foot super-king-sized beds, kitchenettes and ensuite bathrooms.
Wi-Fi is free and guests get tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival.

Late booking for a short break, exceeded expectations, excellent fixtures and fittings. Kitchenette really only suitable for basic breakfast but don't let that put you off. Location excellent for scenery and walking and exploring Cornwall.

At the Travelzoo price it was more than exceptional. However those who are asked to pay full price they may quibble at the shortcomings of the kitchenette!!. No taps, water and sink. Washing up of the most basic self catering had to be done in the bathroom in which were no level surfaces to put anything down. This is a great pity because otherwise it is a spacious well designed beautifully furnished facility.

We had a very enjoyable 2 day stay (in spite of the weather!). It's a lovely area and the pub next door to the stable rooms was friendly, with good food available.

The website mentioned a seating area in the room. This was not the case and the room definitely lacked somewhere to sit and have breakfast, or other meals if required. What was there was of excellent quality but to make it complete then table and chairs need to be included. A 5 star rating could then easily be attained.

Otherwise it was fine though again it should say that you look out onto a car park not countryside!

Absence of armchairs as advertised. Only seating was on the bed. Two dining chairs arrived eventually but not good enough for two people aged 70!

No.1. Stableroom now looking a bit tired. Too much unwanted furniture. Needs a sml table with 2 chairs so you can eat your breakfast-not sit on the bed. Bathroom needs repainting. very slow draining bath, must be blockage. .
