The sandy Playa Fañabé is just a short stroll from Royal Sunset Beach Club, which offers all-apartment accommodation in Tenerife’s Costa Adeje region, “home to luxury hotels, sophisticated clubs and restaurants and superb beaches” (Lonely Planet).
Housed in a modern Mediterranean-style complex, the hotel is within a 25-minute walk of Playa del Duque, lively Puerto Colón marina and Aqualand Costa Adeje waterpark, while both Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos are around 10 minutes’ drive away. The centre of “jawdropping” (Rough Guides) Teide National Park, home to Spain’s highest peak, Mount Teide, takes around 30 minutes to reach by car.
Royal Sunset Beach Club features a lobby with a lounge, as well as a red-toned bar and a restaurant, which serves an international menu and extends to a terrace. Guests can take a dip in the palm-fringed outdoor pool with its adjacent hot tub, work out in the fitness room, and relax in the sauna. Other amenities include table tennis, bike rentals and a squash court, plus a kids’ playroom and activity programme. Fees may apply to some of the leisure facilities.
Living quarters range from studios to 2-bedroom apartments and are decorated in neutral tones with tiled floors and wood furnishings. All come with balconies or patios, and include kitchens, free Wi-Fi, TVs and DVD players. The apartments sleep up to six people and add living areas with sofabeds.
