From Ronald Reagan Washington Airport, a taxi ride will take around 15 minutes in good traffic. You can also take the Metro
Blue Line from the airport to the Foggy Bottom-GWU stop near the hotel. From the Metro, it is a five-minute walk
to the hotel.
One Washington Circle sits on its namesake roundabout in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, located between Georgetown, George Washington University and the museums and monuments of the National Mall.
Most of the spacious guest rooms have a kitchen or kitchenette, as well as walk-out balconies; all stays include complimentary Wi-Fi and bottled water. Long-term visitors and guests on a budget can order grocery delivery from the nearby Trader Joe's and dine en suite.
In summer months, guests can cool off in the hotel's seasonal outdoor pool. The on-site Circle Bistro serves American cuisine daily for breakfast and Monday-Friday for lunch and evening cocktails with the option to dine by the fireplace or on the outdoor patio.
Active travelers can work out at the hotel's fitness center, join a running tour offered every Wednesday morning, attend complimentary yoga classes at a nearby studio or sightsee on two wheels with the property's bike share program.
From the press:
"Even this hotel’s smallest room ... is more spacious than the largest room at some other D.C. hotels" -- Frommer's
"Spacious rooms and attractive views a block from Foggy Bottom Metro" -- Gayot

Check in: Although the check in staff was friendly, we were not offered the room we booked initially, and had to go back downstairs to request another room. Rooms: With the exception of the lobby only, the hotel and rooms are dirty, old, dark, and in dire need of complete renovations. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke although it was supposed to be a smoke free facility. I thought I would fall through the shower tub, as there seems to be so much wood rot under it. There was a constant construction noise all through the night and early morning hours. Circle Bistro: The Circle Bistro was a very odd situation and we could not take advantage of the $20 per day. The day of arrival, we asked the staff if they were open and when the lady told us they were, we sat at the bar for approximately 15 minutes before we had to request assistance. The staff did not know how to pour a beer or make a simple liquor drink. The next morning we called down for room service, and the person on the phone did not know if they had anything that was clearly stated on their menu, asked us to hold so she could ask the chef, and never came back. When we called again, no answer. That evening around 7pm we went down for an after dinner drink and it was completely closed, lights off, doors locked. I was extremely disappointed in this hotel and will never recommend to anyone or consider again unless major renovations are completed.

The sirens from the hospital were loud during the night. The room could be more sound proof, this is the only drawback to this hotel.

Location and staff were phenomenal!!!! I would stay here again without question. Super close to Metro, Metrobus, and the Circulator Bus lines and in a very safe neighborhood. Also great restaurants and grocery stores within five minutes in all directions. All of the staff were helpful and even let us know about a $20 food credit at the Bistro that I was unaware of. We purchased breakfast to go as we checked out of the hotel.

The stairs you see are at the entrance where you check in so luggage can get pretty heavy. It is across the street from the hospital where there were 6 ambulance sirens in one hour but the next night only one. The kitchen consisted of a small fridge and microwave only along with the usual coffee pot. Clean but outdated room.

We did not get the room we booked. I noticed that we had a small room when we got in. I also noticed that we ended up with a queen size bed (instead of King) and with no balcony. I went downstairs to check if we were put in a wrong room by mistake. I was told by the receptionist that 'when you use a third party to book rooms your room choice is not guaranteed'. Which I found very strange. He told me that they don't have any available rooms, so they couldn't move us. When I wanted to talk to a hotel manager, he went inside an office, came back few minutes later to confirm his previous statement, but offered $20 off. I had to take it since the next option was to leave the hotel and look for another place (or go home) in a downpour. This experience left me with bad taste with this hotel and with this deal. I made the reservation very long time ago and I expected to get what I asked for. Other than that, the room was very clean and the valet parking staff were nice.

This hotel is officially my home away from home in DC! The staff were unbelievably accommodating and kind, and my room was bigger than my own apartment at home, with 2 bathrooms, a large living room, dining room, full kitchen and separate bedroom. Best of all - I had a massive terrace overlooking Washington Circle, which I wish I could have taken more advantage of! Overall, I didn't feel like I was staying at a hotel and felt like I was in my own apartment. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Foggy Bottom!

Thank you to all of the staff who helped us during our stay January 6-9, 2018. Tommy, Ross. Emanuel and I forgot the nice woman's name all did a great job in welcoming us to the hotel. With a smile and positive attitude, they gave us great restaurants to try, Whole Foods directions, umbrellas and a great room on the top floor that had a window so I could have fresh air and breathe better. I had been sick from all of the heaters at our prior locations and needed to have fresh air. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable out of any place I have stayed. We truly appreciated having a microwave, hot water kettle and coffee maker with fresh beans to grind in our room. We normally stayed at the Washington Inn but wanted to try a new location and I am glad we did. Thank you One Washington Circle Team for making our final leg of our 3 -week vacation a warm welcome, magic moment and fond farewell. I worked in Hospitality for over 20+ years and we left very happy. Thank you everyone! JoJo & Vic, Nipomo, CA

Bring earplugs if you are a lite sleeper like me as the hospital is across the street and you will hear the sirens if you do not have them in your ears. Great feature is you do not have to go far if you need a hospital. My MAC earplugs are the best.
