Overview

Resorts World Catskills is a recently opened (February 2018) casino-resort nestled in the Catskill Mountains, about a two-hour drive from New York City. The all-suite hotel features rooms with sit-down vanities, double sinks, flat-screen TVs and toiletries by Molton Brown. Each room features a coffee maker, safe, minibar, Wi-Fi and sweeping views of the Catskills.

The centerpiece of the property is the 100,000-square-foot casino, with over 150 live table games including blackjack, craps, baccarat and roulette; 2,150 slot machines; a poker room and a private player’s lounge. Guests can also unwind in the Crystal Life Spa, which has six massage rooms, a hair-and-nail salon, relaxation lounges, steam rooms and saunas.

The resort boasts 10 on-site restaurants and bars, where guests can sample a variety of cuisines late into the night. Options range from casual snacks like pizza and Asian street food to dry-aged steak at Cellaio (by celebrity chef Scott Conant, a regular judge on Food Network's "Chopped"). The hotel's bars and lounges feature nightly live music and performances.

Beyond eating and entertainment, guests can work up a sweat at one of the resort's fitness centers and luxuriate in two indoor pools. In early 2019, a Rees Jones-redesigned golf course and the Kartrite Hotel and Indoor Waterpark will be added to the resort.

They were not very accommodating at the players club casino. As first timers, they did not offer any incentives. They did have a match for another hotel. My friends offer expired by 1 day and they would not extend the offer by a day. Not very nice🙁🙁

The room (when we finally got checked in) was very large. The food at Celaio Steakhouse was excellent.

Our room was not ready until 6:30pm (checkin was 4:00) We had dinner reservations at 5:00 and were not able to freshen up and change clothes before we sat down to a delicious (but very expensive) dinner. The staff was only mildly apologetic and no accommodation was made to make up for the lost time. I'm not sure if I would go back.

The room itself, when we finally got it after waiting more than 4 hours was wonderful. Spacious and comfortable with a wonderful bed, a sitting area and a table/desk. Also the staff was very friendly considering the circumstances.

We arrived early and we're not expecting our room until official check in which is 4:00 pm. The line was very long and they too our phone number to call when they had a room. 4 1/2 hours later we still had no room and neither did 100 other people. Not sure what the problem was to not have any rooms ready. Ridiculous! They also advertise 10 eating options and bars with live music. One small bar was open, no music and there were 3 options for eating. One very expensive Asian restaurant next to a take out noodle place, a food hall with one place open to make your own pizza and a 24/7 diner type place that was out of many options on the menu and had an hour wait to get a table.

when we got there, room was not ready. lines were very long for check in. customers were very angry. I cancelled my room, because I had to wait 5 hours for my room. I was told that they will issue a credit for my payment.
