Unfortunately the air conditioner did not work so for two nights we were extremely uncomfortable. It is a very old hotel and needs work. The weather was 30 degrees and it was so hard to sleep. The balcony was also missing a screen door so we couldn’t keep the door open because of the bugs and bees. Two bees made it into our room and thankfully we caught both. When we tried to turn on the air conditioner the smell it emitted was horrible. I don’t think filters were changed for years. When we called the front desk we were told they had no other rooms to move us as they were sold out. Upon check out they charged us for parking, an additional $50. I explained that our Travelzoo stated parking was included. The manager questioned if we had two vehicles. I said no, he said he’d take the $50 parking fee off but would do nothing in terms of compensation for the poor room because we booked with a third party, Travelzoo. Just now, I noticed a credit card transaction go through and it does in fact include the additional $50. Now I’ll have to get in touch with the hotel again and hope to get a credit, I should be enjoying my vacation. This is so frustrating they were so difficult to deal with. I would like Travelzoo to follow up as well. My husband and I feel that Travelzoo marketed a very false version of this hotel.

We booked two separate rooms (same day) with Travelzoo for 4 people. One room was nice with extra space & a couch. The other was a small one no couch & right beside the elevator. Asked for a change to another but one given was larger but had a musty smell. This is an older hotel that needs updating. We made do as kitchen was well appointed & room was clean. This was not as good experience as with the Summit Boutique Hotel in Whistler we booked with Travelzoo twice.

Outdoor pool was heated & nice to swim. Could not find pool towels we were told should be at the pool. Oh well we had robes from our room!!

Thank you for giving us a 4th floor room. It really opened up the space with the high ceilings. My child loved the room. Thanks

First room - balcony door did not lock - had to change rooms. The staff was very apologetic. Second room - second night - the smoke detector kept beeping throughout the night. I explained to Reception at checkout. Seemed like a big mystery to her - no offer of compensation.

Needs some maintenance done in the rooms. Balconies need to be painted.

Happy to book with Travelzoo pricing and appreciated it included parking. We were pleased with the room we had as we had a corner room with lots of windows, however the heating is inadequate in the room. We had friends staying in other rooms as well, they had the same issues. There is a AC/heating unit which doesn't provide enough heat. The fireplace doesn't have a fan function to distribute the heat coming from that source. There should be baseboards heaters under the windows. The kitchen was great, and we appreciated the mini dishwasher. There was lots of storage space in the closet. The hot tub was very small, so at peak times there was not enough space for all who would have liked to use it.

Fireplaces were not functional due to seasonal shutdown in but room was advertised with a fireplace. Mirrored closet door fell out of the track onto my partner. No hot water in the morning and kitchen sink pipe gurgles randomly throughout the whole stay. Parking lot is ridiculously tight and difficult to park in. Bed is butted up against the jacuzzi tub which makes it difficult to get out of bed on that side. I would not recommend Travelzoo advertise this hotel to members.

We had a room on the second floor facing the mountain with two queen beds, not much space for suitcases or dressers to unpack your clothes. The balcony was great we used it a lot and saw a bear walk right in front of the hotel one night. The hotel could use a little updating, we did use the hotel bikes one afternoon and the hot tub was nice. Also the underground parking spaces are very small.

Liked that it was in the village but at the quiet end. Only wish that we could have used the gas fireplace but it doesn't get turned on until November.
