"Gorgeous location overlooking rugged southern Utah landscape" -- Oyster

Why We Love It

  • Guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi and parking
  • Free seasonal shuttle takes guests to town or to Zion National Park
  • All rooms have a private balcony or patio with scenic views

Majestic View Lodge’s Southwestern style and prime location make it a preferred, family-friendly launchpad for a Zion National Park adventure. This “well-maintained, mid-range” property “overlooks the jaw-dropping sandstone cliffs that define southern Utah” (Oyster).

In peak summer season, hop on the complimentary shuttle (its first stop is right outside the hotel) and ride toward the red rocks of nearby Zion. The national park welcomes bikers, hikers, climbers and casual nature lovers. We recommend trekking up what’s known as Angel’s Landing. When you summit -- thighs burning, sweat dripping off you -- the view of plunging canyons below will make you feel victorious and humbled all at once.

In the winter, take advantage of offseason room rates and see the area in an entirely different light. Strap on a pair of Yaktrax and stroll through the snow. You may even be the first footprints on the trail after a day’s snowfall.

After a day at the park, take a dip in the kid-friendly, seasonal outdoor pool. (Adults aching post-hike can sooth muscles in the hot tub.) Dine at Arkansas Al’s steak house, which serves all three meals, then retire back to your room and enjoy the evening view from its private balcony or patio.
