We received an e mail the day before our arrival date saying that all restaurants had closed. Too late to cancel. If only the lodge had told us earlier we could have rescheduled our dates for an earlier arrival date.

Quiet time to explore the area. Rooms were nicely done with kitchens and ample space. About a 15min drive up the mountain from Golden. A few shops at the mountain village area but you needed to go to town for most things as the hours were limited and the little convenience shop was closed except for weekends. great starting place for hiking!

Front desk staff were great! The resort is beautiful! The only reason I gave the room a 4 star is because there is no air conditioning. We would definitely come back

It was a very nice Hotel with terrific views. Given the situation with covid it was nice to get away and see the country. Not a lot to do unless you like mountain biking or want to pay for the gondola to do some real hiking. Very quiet.

Just on restaurant was open during the week which was a little away from the hotel. On the weekend attached to the hotel there were 2 pubs and restaurants open as well as a coffee shop. On the week days there was only the coffee shop open until 6:00 PM. There was a full kitchen in the suite we had and we should have brought groceries from Golden.

The lodge was farther from the Town of Golden than expected but it was a lovely view & good amenities.

Bed was comfortable.

Main door latch to the unit needs to be replaced, required repeated tries to get in from the outside. Bathroom sink taps have almost zero water pressure. Tub drain would not stay open during a shower. Up to my ankles in water. Kitchen sink taps are loose, hot cold reversed, and water flow stopped when you let go of the handle. Hinge broken on one of the kitchen cupboard doors. Most of the cords on the kitchen, patio and bedroom blinds have previously been broken and tied together. Floors extremely dirty. Left my socks in the garbage. Overall a lot of repairs needed.

The mountain (Kicking Horse) itself is beautiful and was a great experience for the family
Other Comments
Front desk staff very short and not willing to help. Housekeeping missed cleaning up an empty bag of chips on the floor. Guests are required to bring their own DVD player to make the TV work. With COVID going on the hotel is asking guests to use hand sanitizer when entering the building but other than inside the elevator and at check in all other bottles are empty.
