Checkin Villa Angelina
About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- This new hotel opened in November 2017
- It is located in a historic convent, which is still functioning
- The Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum are less than 25 minutes away by bus
Opened in November 2017, Checkin Villa Angelina is set within the historic Casa Generalizia convent to the north of Rome. It is on the Via Nomentana, once an important Roman consular route that ran from Rome to Nomentum, a suburban town where many rich Romans had a villa.
The hotel is surrounded by a large garden in a quiet area, 25 minutes by bus from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps in the city centre. Villa Torlonia -- "a splendid 19th-century park full of towering pine trees, atmospheric palms and scattered villas" (Lonely Planet) -- is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
Breakfast is served at the hotel's restaurant, and there is a terrace in the gardens.
Rooms have a desk, a TV and a private bathroom with toiletries, shower and hairdryer. Wi-Fi is free.
