H+ Hotel Willingen is in the wild-romantic landscape of Germany's Sauerland region, at the foot of the Rothaar Mountains, surrounded by forest and hills.
Willingen -- a charming area with half-timbered houses -- is famous as a winter sports resort and hosts the annual FSI Ski Jumping World Cup. It is also popular for hiking, with trails such as the Uplandsteig and the Rothaarsteig, or you can take the cable car to the 837-metre-high Ettelsberg.
Back at the hotel you can relax in the wellness area, complete with a swimming pool, a steam bath and a Finnish sauna. The hotel's rustic restaurant serves a wide range of international dishes as well as regional specialties, such as Potthucke (potato strudel) -- baked potato dough filled with fresh meat.
Child-friendly facilities include a playground and a kids' club with a playroom.
Deluxe Rooms have two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchenette and a balcony or terrace offering views over the valley. Wi-Fi is free.
