  • It's within 20 minutes of two college campuses

After undergoing a $12 million renovation, the Scottsdale Inn will reopen as Hotel Adeline and is currently taking reservations for Dec. 15 and after. The 4.5-acre downtown property features a modern, minimalist style and an open floorplan. The hotel's communal spaces -- the lobby, restaurant, lounge and pool deck -- are designed to encourage mingling as well as to attract locals.

Dining options on site include a Mediterranean restaurant with an adjacent lounge and a café including a late-night grab-and-go bar. The courtyard pool is surrounded by cabanas, lounge chairs and palm trees with a pool bar and patio. Guests also have access to the fitness center and hot tub.

Two stories of guest rooms circle the courtyard, offering views of the pool from even-numbered rooms. Accommodations have one king or two queen beds, reading nooks with leather chaise lounges, Smart TVs, rainfall showers and free Wi-Fi. Upgrading to a suite adds a seating area and access to a private patio.

The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Fashion Square shopping center, the Scottsdale Waterfront and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Both Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University are within 20 minutes of the property, making it a convenient choice for visiting families, alumni or prospective students.

It’s a beautiful hotel and atmosphere.

If the Queen beds were actually labeled correctly as doubles, I would not have booked this hotel. When traveling with kids bed size is a game-changer. I didn’t get a restful stay, and enjoy Mother’s Day like I had planned.

What a great experience! Not only are the lobby, bar, restaurant, and rooms beautifully decorated and clean, the staff is so friendly and helpful. It’s like they all appreciate you being their guest and they genuinely enjoy coming to work. Such a positive experience. We would absolutely stay there again!!

Yes. The lobby area is quite nice with the lounge and Restaurant area is flowing together from inside to out. The swimming pool area looks very enjoyable as well. They have done a nice job with the interior of the guestrooms. Nice dark rich woods pleasingly done.

The motel room door did not fit or close properly. Light and noise came in excessively as a result. Also early in the morning people stood near our room door smoking and that also filled our room with an unpleasant odor. Outside our room there was a semi trailer with the refrigeration unit on it that ran all night not allowing us to get much sleep. They tell us that these doors are to be replaced soon and that they know it’s a problem. Would like to have been informed of that so that we could have made a decision to stay there or not.

Staff was nice. Common areas such as the pool, bar, lobby, restaurant, etc., were very nice.

Recent renovation was really well done, and at $99 a night + a waived resort fee (Travel Zoo deal), a solid value. I had an adjoining room next to mine, and I could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in that room, even just normal conversation and every time the shower was turned on or toilet flushed, so that was very frustrating to me and did wake me up a few times. This hotel seemed like a seen and be seen place, especially at the pool, popular with the 25-40 crowd. I did not have time to use the pool on this visit. For the Travelzoo price of $99/night + a waived resort fee, I would stay here again. For the more normal rate of $175/night + the resort fee, I wouldn't stay here again unless I knew I had an afternoon to spend at the pool. Just considering the rooms by themselves, there are better options at similar price points.
