Aqua Wellness Resort
Why We Love This Hotel

- There are no TVs in the rooms, so guests can completely unplug
- Guests can spot wildlife such as howler monkeys and iguanas
- The resort works to preserve the natural ecosystem in the area in partnership with a nonprofit organization
Located in a tropical forest within a private beach cove on Nicaragua's Pacific coast, Aqua Wellness Resort invites guests to disconnect while being surrounded by eco-friendly design and lush vegetation.
Rooms are nestled in trees and have fully equipped kitchens, a lounge area and air conditioning. Some also have an outdoor deck space for rocking chairs and plunge pools with ocean views. Interiors are decorated with natural hardwoods, hewn stone and hand-crafted furnishings.
The resort offers daily yoga classes held by the beach or on platforms facing the jungle. The spa also features signature treatments with warm volcanic clay and tropical fruit body scrubs.
There is a restaurant that serves local dishes and a beachfront bar at the resort's private beach. Water-sports gear is complimentary, including snorkels and fins, kayaks and paddleboards. Aqua can also arrange an array of day trips to nearby volcanos, fishing trips, and turtle- and dolphin-watching trips.
