We had a standard room and it was way above adequate. We did some walking whilst we were staying here and the lady in reception was able to help us with tide times and information about access to the Templar way. Breakfasts were good(lovely view from the conservatory and we enjoyed a few hours in the sauna and pool.

Excellent location and setting. Lovely communal areas and good breakfast.
Other Comments
The only negative during our visit was not having the option to eat in the hotel restaurant on the Saturday night due to a pre-booked party. Advance notification would have been good.

On arrival we were allocated a room in the South Lodge on the ground floor, unfortunately the opening windows in these rooms do not have a opening safety lock on and as we require the windows slightly open while sleeping these rooms and the ones above with large patio sliding doors were not suitable. Upon pointing this out at the reception, a further room was allocated to us in the North Lodge on the second floor. I would like to point out that the rooms in the South Lodge are quite dated and require refurbishing while those in the North Lodge are more modernly furnished, light and spacious. It would be interesting to know if there an plans for the future to update the South Lodge rooms, if another room had not been available for our stay it would not have been quite so enjoyable. The staff at all times were very obliging and polite.
Other Comments
The daily Breakfast which was included in the offer and the Cream tea on arrival were both great, and the waiting staff where very pleasant and professional.
