Lush wooded parkland spreads from Auberge de Noves, an elegant country house hotel situated amid the rolling Provençal landscape. Set on 15 hectares of land lined with pine and oak trees, this family-run lodging occupies a 17th-century manor house with a mottled stone façade, a 10-minute drive from Châteaurenard village centre. Both Parc Naturel Regional des Alpilles, with its walking, cycling and horse riding trails, and the historic medieval city of Avignon, are within 25 minutes’ drive of the hotel, whilst L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, famous for its antique shops and riverside dining takes about 30 minutes to reach by car.
Auberge de Noves warm, homely interiors are hung with works by local artists and include a guest lounge decorated in terracotta tones. Woodland trails lead directly from the hotel grounds into the local countryside, and there’s a tennis court and a seasonal outdoor pool shaded by trees. Guests can dine on regional cuisine including “delicious traditional specialities such as foie gras and hand-chopped beef tartare” (Michelin Guide)in the stately restaurant, which has a cellar of over 25,000 wines and opens to a leafy terrace.
Traditional Provençal decor runs throughout the hotel’s individually designed guestrooms, which feature exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings and rustic wood furnishings. All include free Wi-Fi, TVs and minibars, whilst higher tariff rooms and suites add living space, and some come with balconies or terraces. Room service is available.
