Situated at the top of Ibiza's historic Dalt Vila (old town), La Torre del Canónigo commands sweeping views across the harbour. It's just moments from the cathedral and the Plaça de la Catedral viewpoint. From the centre of Ibiza town, there are steep, narrow streets leading up to the picturesque old town, making the hotel a good choice if you want an atmospheric base from which to explore (sensible shoes are recommended).
By day, guests can soak up the sun by the pool on a terrace that's dotted with olive trees. In the late afternoon, the pool area is transformed into the romantic al fresco dining area of the hotel's restaurant, Kyüpiddo, which serves Japanese-Mediterranean fusion food.
Rooms are divided between the 14th-century stone tower and a traditional town house that's 50 metres from the main building. They are decorated in an elegant, rustic style with whitewashed walls and crisp bed linen. Many have views of the old town and the sparkling Mediterranean beyond, and some of the higher category rooms also have ensuite lounge areas. There are also suites with balconies or terraces, one of which has an outdoor mosaic-tiled hydromassage bath.
