One of Rio’s greenest areas, the upper-middle-class Jacarepagua neighborhood is home to the Courtyard Barra da Tijuca and known for the abundance of nature surrounding it. The area is popular with visitors in town for the events and shows hosted by its parks like Rock in Rio, an bi-annual music festival held nearby for over 30 years. The hotel is within walking distance from Olympic Park and a 5-minute drive from Riocentro Exhibition and Convention Center.
The sleek high-rise has glass exterior, combining its tropical location with a modern design and decor. The entryway has floor-to-ceiling windows, spilling sunlight over mid-century furnishings of navy upholstery and blond wood. The first floor is also home to a lounge with media pods where guests can have a snack and cocktail while watching the game on a personal screen.
Each room has a flat-screen television, free Wi-Fi and a mini fridge. Accommodations offer the option of one king bed or two twin beds and feature large, soundproof windows looking out at the surrounding landscape. Beds have pillow-top mattresses and crisp white linens and are equipped with bedside reader lamps.
Guests can grab snacks and coffee at the Market or sit down to breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Bistro. The hotel’s open-air mezzanine includes a large pool surrounded by lounge chairs, including some partly submerged for relief from the tropical sun, and picnic tables. From the pool deck, guests have unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. On the same floor, visitors have access to a fitness center with free weights and cardiovascular equipment.
