About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- A city-centre hotel with classic Danish design & free Wi-Fi
- Walking distance from Tivoli Gardens, Central Station & the Town Hall Square
- The hotel has an Italian restaurant & a lounge with an open fire
The Imperial Hotel stands smack-bang in the centre of Copenhagen, a "gloriously attractive city", according the The Guardian.
Location is key here, and with Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen Central Station and Rådhuspladsen (Town Hall Square) less than 600 yards away, the Imperial Hotel makes a great base for exploring the hip Danish capital.
Built over 50 years ago, the "respectable" hotel boasts a "touch of '60s Danish design", according to Frommer's, and the sixth floor is named after the famous furniture designer, Børge Mogensen, with many of the rooms featuring his work.
You can relax in front of an open fire in the hotel's lounge or grab a drink at the bar, before heading to Ristorante L'Appetito for some seasonal Italian cuisine.
All rooms have free Wi-Fi, tea- and coffee-making facilities and plasma TVs. Suites also have a lounge and a kitchen area.
