The hotel is lovely- conveniently located on the cusp of Ville Marie and Vieux Port in Montreal. It is easy to walk to numerous points of interest and access the Metro.
Great breakfast & Sarah B, the Absinthe bar in the lobby is fantastic! Delicious oysters and cocktails served in a fun but laid back, classy atmosphere.
The room was a bit disappointing- it seemed very tired and 1990s. For such a prestigious brand- and the updated common areas, I was surprised.
It was clean and comfortable- so I was happy- and would return for the location and service alone.

I'm a single woman, age 87! and travelled with a couple who are friends. We all LOVE Montreal and LOVE the Intercontinental. This is our second summer visit - we went last year as well. Perhaps next year too. Hard to beat this hotel....and Montreal.

Staff was absolutely wonderful! I haven’t had service like that in a very long time—thought it was a thing of the past! Location was perfect—easy walk to Old Montreal/Vieux Port and downtown. Breakfast buffet was terrific as was the rooftop pool and patio.

Only downside was misstatement of the parking rate. Our Travelzoo voucher stated that the cost was $37/night and so we sprung for it. We were charged $45/night and, when we brought it to the attention of the hotel staff, we were merely informed that the Travelzoo price was out of date. We would not knowingly have opted for valet parking at this rate.

We actually found the hotel itself very nice and elegant, but because of the parking debacle we would not recommend it.

the parking was a nightmare. The valet parking option was fine, but the hotel is understaffed which meant we not only had a delay getting our vehicle, but then actually getting our keys. We then chose the park on your own option...it was almost impossible to find the parking garage, then as we lost the parking ticket, we were denied exit by the parking attendant despite being willing to pay at that point. She insisted on a ticket...this necessitated my husband having to BACK UP out of a line up of cars behind him to go back to the hotel to get a ticket. It was a very very negative experience. The parking garage is not owned by the hotel, but nevertheless by association it made for an overall very negative experience. The staff helped to the best of their ability.

The hotel was great - our room was a good size and was equipped with all the amenities and a few extra details!
The restaurant was excellent for our daily breakfast, which was included in our rate. The only thing to note is parking is a bit confusing. There isn’t really a place to stop/park when checking in. We were self parking - it would be good to include instructions in the confirmation details so we could simply enter the garage and check in after. Having said that - we didn’t use our car in the few days of our stay. The hotel is central to old Montreal and steps from the Metro. We would absolutely stay again and actually plan to!

Came here for a surgery. Hotel was very helpful in providing me some items I needed for comfort after surgery. When AC cancelled our home bound flight, the hotel was very helpful in rebooking us (not at travelzoo rate but close) and, given our unstable flight situation, gave us the option of cancelling at any time without penalty.

The room was ok but needs to be updated for an hotel of that category, very small bathtub and small shower, no shampoo nor body wash in the bathtub only a soap bar! Only one bathrobe (we were two).
However very nice service at the bar and at breakfast . No frills check in and checkout.
The travelzoo members deal was great but I would not pay the normal price for that particular room.

Quick and easy check-in! The room was very clean and amenities such as a bar fridge, bottled water, coffee/tea service in the room as well as a robe/slippers to use were very much appreciated! We had delicious oysters and appetizers at the bar in the evening and a huge selection of items at the buffet breakfast in the morning! It was close to several attractions within walking distance from the hotel as well which suited us as we didn't have to drive! Would not hesitate to recommend to friends/family!

Check in and checkout was very easy. Staff were helpful. My room was clean and well maintained. Nice shower with plenty of hot water to shower Many breakfast options and a very welcoming man greeting guests and helping with seating and serving coffee immediately when you arrive. My only complaint was that my eggs were cold .Asked for an important wake up call which was made and was helpful as I had forgotten my alarm clock.

Just wish I had better staff instructions about the parking access as you have to change elevators to get to the parking lot. This was made much easier as you use the elevators a couple of times.

Enjoyed the walkable location, friendly staff, very reasonable parking ($25 for 24 hours), well appointed, large room and free breakfast as a Travelzoo perk. The view was another building, our 11th floor room had a slight smell of chlorine (the pool was below us), some of the chairs weren’t comfortable but these are minor issues to us. We would definitely go back.

We had a very good stay at InterContinental Montreal. The classic king room we stayed at was very spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable that we were able to sleep through the night without waking up. Also the hotel was very quiet even though there were quite some guests. Buffet breakfast was top-notched with plenty of food choices and quality of food was above average. The only recommendation that I have is if the rooms may need some renovation to have brighter lighting and more modern furnishings.

What a gorgeous lobby and elegant room! The staff were friendly and I really appreciated the breakfast inclusion - hearty food and excellent desserts. It was very easy to self-park. We could walk to the Old Port restaurants. The Intercontinental is easily the best place I've stayed in Montreal.

The overall experience was great. The only downside was that the smoke alarm has a flashing green light and this bright flashing light kept us up at night. It was like have a strobe light in the room.

Breakfast was included but service left much to be desired. We were never offered a cup of coffee, no coffee cups were ever put on the table, not even a glass of water was offered. No water or coffee were available at the self-serve. So went went without. Couldn't flag a waiter either, they were rushed and avoided eye contact.
