This design-focused hotel is in the heart of the lively Marais district. There are a number of bars, boutiques and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, while the BHV department store is just across the street and the Hotel de Ville metro station is just 150 metres from the hotel.
It's well placed for visiting popular city attractions, many of which can be reached on foot. The Centre Pompidou, for example, is just 350 metres away, while medieval Notre-Dame Cathedral is less than a kilometre from the hotel. The Musée Picasso is a similar distance away and the Musée Carnavalet, which is dedicated to the history of Paris and its inhabitants, can also be reached in 10 minutes or so.
Its statement lampshades with botanical cut-out detailing and its comfortable retro-style seating makes the hotel's light-filled lounge and bar a chic destination for cocktails. The menu features classics such as Mai Tais and mojitos, as well as specialities of the house, including a vodka ginger fusion with mango and fresh mint. Exclusively for guests, there's a sauna and a small fitness room with cardio equipment and weights.
The 58 rooms and suites are designed by the French architect and interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. They are decorated with a mellow colour scheme of soft grey and charcoal, with pops of colour provided by contemporary wall art and furnishings.
