Hampton Inn & Suites Truro
Why We Love This Hotel
- Set on the Trans-Canada Highway, the hotel is situated for easy sightseeing in the "hub of Nova Scotia" (Lonely Planet)
- Famous Tidal Bore rafting is less than a half hour drive from the hotel
- Victoria Park -- a nearly 1000-acre urban oasis at the edge of downtown -- is "Truro's biggest asset" (Fodor's) and features hiking trails, waterfalls and a heated outdoor pool that turns into a skating rink during the winter months
Situated in what’s known to locals as the “hub of Nova Scotia” (Lonely Planet), the Hampton Inn Truro is not too far from almost everything worth seeing in this Maritime province. The hotel is a 55-minute drive from Halifax, but also only a 30-minute drive from the famous Tidal Bore, a natural wonder of surging tides.
This hotel is new, having opened in the summer of 2016 and has guest rooms that are typically appointed with a minifridge and microwave. Free tea and coffee are available in the lobby 24 hours a day and there is an on-site fitness centre.
The hot breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi and outdoor parking are all complimentary. On-site coin-operated washing machines and dryers come in handy for extended stays or after a day of Tidal Bore rafting in the red mud of the Bay of Fundy.
