Located about an hour's drive from both Managua and Granada, Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Resort and Spa is a great place to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery of Nicaragua. The 65-acre, secluded resort is perched above a lake and natural preserve with a perfect view of Masaya Volcano, which glows red at night from the lava.
The intimate resort is comprised of eight private casitas. Most casitas have a private covered deck with a hammock and two deck chairs. While most are for two people, there is one family suite with two bedrooms, as well as a special honeymoon suite. Since the resort is not within walking distance of town, the resort offers complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner, which are provided at set times.
Because of its Masaya Volcano National Park location, the resort offers plenty of tours and activities. Adventurers will enjoy nighttime volcano tours, zip lining, kayaking and waterfall hikes. Culture seekers can explore Granada, take a boat tour of Lake Nicaragua, tour the neighbouring pottery villages or see a folk music and dance show.
After a day of activities and sightseeing, relax in the infinity pool overlooking Masaya Volcano with a cold drink in hand or unwind at the spa with a massage.
