Why We Love This Hotel
- Chic boutique hotel in the centre of Nice
- Short walk to the beach and the Old Town
- Free afternoon snacks for guests in the library
Named after 18th-century navigator and explorer Louis Antoine de Bougainville, Villa Bougainville is a boutique hotel in the centre of Nice. It is in the Quartier des Musiciens, an elegant residential area near the train station and a 15-minute walk from the beach.
Nice's Old Town, where you’ll find the food and flower markets at the "joyous, thriving" Cours Saleya (Lonely Planet), is just a 20-minute walk away. The hotel is also a ten-minute stroll from Musée Massena, an art and history museum. For further exploring afield, the Marc Chagall Museum and the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum are both within a 25-minute walk.
Rooms are on the small side, but are bright and cheery with colonial-style furniture, decorative botanical prints and free Wi-Fi. All guests also receive complimentary continental buffet daily, which is served from 7-10:30 a.m. in the breakfast room.
A cozy library also awaits on-site, fit with leather armchairs and a business nook with internet access. Be sure to stop in between 2-7 p.m., when free afternoon treats such as chocolate, fruit and coffee are available for guests daily.
