JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa
About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- Ultra-contemporary oceanfront luxury hotel with multiple pools, a spa and several restaurants
- Walk through the tranquil Zen-style garden, landscaped with modern art and a mirror pool
- Play a few rounds at the Jack Nicklaus- and Pete Dye-designed golf course two minutes away
- Treat yourself to a day at the spa and try a traditional temazcal sweat lodge experience
Opened in November of 2015, the property is a jaw-dropper from the outside. It could pass for a modern art museum with its walls of glass, cantilevered decks and wavy infinity pools.
Walk through the tranquil garden area, landscaped with modern statues, a glass mirror pool and a spiral amphitheater. Treat yourself to a day at the on-site spa and try a traditional temazcal sweat lodge experience. Spend the rest of the afternoon lounging by one of the swimming pools; there’s both freshwater and saltwater options.
Rooms are seriously plush, even the standard room type includes a furnished balcony and a huge bathroom with a separate shower and tub.
The most difficult decision here is which of the hotel restaurants to choose for meals. There are several casual options, including a poolside café, plus a sushi restaurant and French-Mexican fusion if you feel like dressing up.
A Jack Nicklaus- and Pete Dye-designed golf course is a two-minute drive away, and the handicraft markets dotting the main square of San Jose del Cabo are about a 15-minute drive south along the coastline.
