The Mediterranean Inn has location, location, location. Bordering the center of the city in the posh Queen Anne neighborhood, the petite extended stay inn is within a few minutes walk to many of the things tourists want to see in Seattle.
Within a 10-minute walk east of the hotel lies the Seattle Center, an arts and entertainment hub home to dozens of museums and theaters including the EMP Museum, Key Arena and the iconic Space Needle. Visitors could easily spend a week taking in the cultural sights here, stopping only to dine at one of the locally–based eateries with outposts within the center.
As a home base for exploration, the hotel offers conveniences for longer-term guests like kitchenettes in each room and a coin-operated laundry on site. There’s also a small but adequate fitness center. The décor, while it doesn’t exactly scream Mediterranean, is comfortable enough with traditional furnishings in neutral colors and framed paintings of the Italian countryside on the walls.
The hotel’s exterior looks a bit more like the name would suggest with bright yellow walls and green trim on the windows at the ground level.
A nice perk at the hotel is the huge rooftop deck with sweeping views of the iconic Space Needle and the boats of Elliott Bay. Although there’s not an on-site restaurant, there are dozens of eateries and a grocery within a few blocks.
