Like something out of a fairy tale, the red, yellow and blue cottages of River Pointe Napa Valley Resort line the property in perfect rows.
A hybrid between a hotel and a rental house, each of the studio and one bedroom units have all the comforts of home including a kitchen, separate living area, a full bathroom and even a furnished outdoor patio.
These lodgings are actually converted trailers, although inside the only sign of their mobile roots is the size. Some might find the trailer shape confining, while others may call it cozy.
Interiors aside, it’s hard to find fault with a location alongside the banks of the Napa River. Visitors can stroll or jog along the River Trail. Perhaps even more important to visiting oenophiles, the property is just of the road frofm the Silverado Wine Trail, dotted with over a dozen wineries.
Although the lodging isn’t what most expect when they hear “resort” property perks include a heated pool and hot tub, game room and free wine tastings. Past guests on TripAdvisor.com say the rooms and common areas could use some updating, most praise the staff for their exceptional customer service and breadth of knowledge on the wines of the region.
